Hello all. I'm currently a 0-0-1-0 Pistoller, about 12k away from 0-0-2-0.

I've been using DisarmingShot1 on mobs (and after reading these forums,I realize I should be using BodyShot2 Instead), should I switch to Double-Tap for PvE?

Just looking for opinions. It's taking me quitea while to get this 250K, and I'm hoping 0-0-2-0 will be worth the wait...

If you group hunt, you will love Double-Tap.

I think what he means is that double-tap hits a random ham bar. When you are in a group, everyone is usually hitting different ham bars as well.

Yes, if your in a group, you will like Double Tap. If your a soloer like myself, you will hate it because it's a random pool and you'll be able to take down the mob faster by just using Body Shot 2 which is a health pool attack. Right now I have enough to either get the first two boxes for aiming/speed, or get stoping shot. I'm just afraid that stoping shot will be a big disapointment to me as Double Tap was. But I'm sure if you Play in Groupsor in PvP, you'll probably like it.

Yeah if you're looking for the quick kill, BS2 will still be your best bet. But if you want more exp in a group, then Double Tap is good.

I see. Well, I do group often, but I also do alot of soloing....

I wonder if I should change my mind, and getmy 0-1-1-0 ...

That's what I'm thinking about doing, but I have enough pistol exp to get the first two boxes. I'm just trying to find out if stopping shot will hit health pool more often then double tap, as it is now, when I need the damage because I'm fleeing from an almost dead mob, if I hit double tap it's like playing russian rulett, you might hit the wrong pool, or you might get lucky. If you get lucky, you'll finish him off with that last shot instead of using two BS2's, if you don't get lucky, he'll finish you off before you can get a snare trap off or a panic or knockdown, hehe.

There are things to consider before you make up your mind. For instance, I'm upset with it because I never play in groups, my time is way to limited, so i'm left with soloing. However, I have noticed that the higher I go up pistol stances and grips branch, my shots also start to hit a little bit harder, not talking about special's here, I mean just regular shots seem to hit for more then before (and yes, special's too, like BS2 was doing 300 max at novice and now I'm getting some for 460 with the same weapon). I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or if it's ment to be that way. I don't know if the same works for the Accuracy/speed branch. I also do not know how much of a difference accuracy will make with the +5 or +10 increase. Especially now that the Dev's are gonna apply a nerf on our last accuracy nerf so we won't be able to hit squat, so will this help, or will it be FUBAR'ed from the nerf...after the other nerf (makes sence? no, but I'm sure we'll be seeing a nerf on the nerf of the original nerf really soon).

Anyways, just look at the board and you'll get a feel for what you think should be your move. everyone play's differently

Double tap is really good. I use it all the time. Its HAM costs are less than BS2, and when it does hit the health abr (50% of the time) i can get damage in the 900 range. It's awesome for 1 shotting blue cons. If you group And solo alot, much like most people who play this game, I would recommend getting Double Tap. You could use that in a group, and still use BS2 solo. If you go for marksman, you won't notice much of a real difference, and you will not do any more damage in a group than you are now. I am very close to Fan Shot currently, which to me looks like a Super double tap. I can't wait.

Right now, doubel tap is my favorite shot over stopping shot by far, but stopping shot works really well with a scout, not so much with an FWG5. FWG5 uses double tap really well, and i even throw it in amidst a few body shots when I'm soloing for extra health damage if it hits right.
