Why do people tend to ignore point blank shot 2?

Looking at the FAQ, it does DPS comparable to fan shoot, yet is alot cheaper. The onlybad effect is that it has a range of 12m, but most of the time with pistol I am in that range.

Am I reading it wrong?

I dont use it on mobs because i really need the pool target... Bodyshot 3 (once its actually better than BS2, thank you very much Mr. Dev) will be pretty good... But I do use pbs2 on lairs because your right, it does way more dmg.

The HAM cost on PBS2 is too high for my liking. But I did use it some when it was like the only shot I had. But now if I'll use doubletap over it. the lower ham costis much more palatable.
