Thread: Need Vaseline to Deal with Pistol Whip Nerf

1. Nerfing pistol whip damage is ok it was kinda nuts you could hit someone harder than shoot em...
2. Nerfing knockdown was fair too, could kill a fambaa solo almost.
3. The action cost has gotta go... It costs me more to do the move in action points than the damage the move does very often. This move is our only defense against fast creatures that want us for lunch, and as the title implies its supposed to be a defense. The two previous parts of the nerf alone achieve the desired affect while the action cost pushes it over the edge rendering the move suicidal to use. I went from taking out yellows and low reds, to being 50/50 in recent fights with tusk cats that con white!!! COME ON NOW!
Anyone else feel the same way about this?
Well ultimately the balance of the game (according to Holo) is that all players stand a 50/50 chance against a white con.
Ya ... and I think Holo is totally off his rocker about that. Sorry, I don't think that as a Master Pistoleer/Expert Bounty Hunter I should get my ass kicked by a single cow (borlok) or gorilla (hanadak) on Endor.
Fine, even as an Expert Bounty Hunter I might not be Jango Fett ... but I should be pretty **edit** powerful. Right now, to complete my faction destroy missions, I have to bleed/knockdown/retreat the stormtroopers to win ... is that realistic? After the disarm2 nerf, I won't be able to kill multiple stormtroopers without help, realistic?
I'm not saying that I should be Jango Fett or anything, but at least I should be able to kill a stormtrooper or at least a darn cow, if I've maxed my combat abilities. Holo wants to make it so a Master Bounty Hunter has to run away from a cow or a gorilla ... give me a break.
I think there should be tough NPCs and mobs that require groups to beat, absolutely. But they shouldn't be things like a single cow. They should be things like the Nightsisters. If Holo wants to make it so I don't solo the cows, he should just making all the mobs group a lot more often. Make it so I can easily beat a Stormtrooper as a Master Pistoleer/Expert BH, but that once I kill one ST they radio all their pals and suddenly I'm running away from 15 of them. That would make sense and be cool.

Not a flame so dont take it that way, but if you could solo everything in the game, how long are you going to enjoy it untill your complety friggen bored? I know you can get a challenge by doing PvP but how long untill your tired of that too?
Doood.. gave up on pvp on the big patch where they made it so every imp and his mother can get an AT-ST... put it this way, pvp has become player vs pets not player vs player so that got old a LONG time ago. Considering all the bugs artisans of all flavors have to eat doo on, combat is flawless by comparison. Nonetheless I guess I will surrender pistoleer for merchant skills... funny game man, they keep doing things that make me feel they are screwing us rather than providing a fun game.. Not enough can be said for letting a game get ripe before releasing sour immature software like what we gotta deal with for another 3 mos (hope decent play is that close).
