Ok, i just purchased a 52-206 and had it sliced but luck made it speed and not Dmg...so it is 52-206 1.4

I also have a 51-230 2.0 fwg

Now i know the 1.4 is better DPS, but which is better in real usage?

The second one. You'll fire both at the same speed since your firing rate is faster than the rating of the weapon and the fire rate of all weapons tops out at 1.0 seconds. I haven't seen any stats but my opinion would be that any weapon 3.0 or under that gets sliced for speed, it was a wasted slice.

Actually based on the original poster's skill tree, the faster one is more ideal. The latter won't be as useful until your speed is built up by progressing along the pistoleer skill tree. I can tell the difference using a 1.8 speed gun vs. a 2.7. As I'm using it with panic shot (Smuggler), I can get 3 fan shots out of the 1.8 before the panic effect wears off. With the 2.7 I can get 2.

I'm currently a 0-2-4-3 pistoleer.

I'm currently at 0 1 4 1 in Pistoleer, and I can still tell a very large difference between a 1.4speed and a 2.0 speed weapon. At master they may be the same, but not right now they are not.

I belive right now I need around a 1.5 speed weapon to speec cap. By master that will probubly jump to alittle over 2.0, but I can't see it going to 3.0 without geting some BH skills.

Then again that +20 at master is going to be huge. To bad BH's get +10 - +20 PER TIER in thier pistol line.

The faster one. I figure he has to make Master before he could fire BS2 with no speed penalty on the 2.0 pistol, much less any of the other slower specials like SS or FS.

2.0 x 1.8 (BS2 speed modifier) x (1-(74/100)) = < 1s

+54 speed won't cut it.

A master weaponsmith showed me their personal FWG5 they made from krayt parts. 220 top damage, unmodified.

I have a 51-242 2.0 speed fwg5

I had a 51-240 1.9 spd fwg5... got it sliced for 28% dmg increase, now I have a 65-308 1.9 spd fwg5.
