Pistoleer Archive

Seeing all the talk of pistol nerfs is anyone moving to another weapon? I have been thinking of rifle personally but not sure how it is. I am a Ranger and think it would fit a Ranger more anyway to have a rifle. Any thoughts? Or is Pistol going to still be good enough to stick with it?

I am thinking about switching, I am pretty far up the pistolleer tree though. So it is going to be difficult for me to give up the hard earned xp. But I will probably do it anyway, because after looking at carbineer and riflemen, pistoleer is pointless. I will probably be a carbineer because i don't have a lot of mind to use a rifle.

Ahh, giving up XP you'll get over soon enough. I had quite a bit in Bounty Hunter and gave it up, including almost all of the prereqs. Then, I went Pistoleer and had a bit done in it and surrendered it. Now, I'm a Pistoleer again. I would NOT switch over to Carbineer or Rifleman just yet. They've nered BH, then Pistoleer... who do you think is next? You guessed it. So, before you go thinking Pistoleer sucks and everything else is better, just know what Carbineer and Rifleman will probably get theirs. The T-21 already got it's speed chucked up to like 100, didn't it? That right there is enough to make me want to avoid it. I had an EE3 once with a speed of 46.0... *cringe*

I was going to swtich to a Pistoleer/Smuggler combo, then I was thinking about doing Pistoleer/BH combo, however some of the recent discussion in this forum abour changing the pistoleer attacks and me not wanting to surrender a line I spent 2 weeks working on changed my mind, in fact for some strange reason I now even decided to go for Master Pistoleer, which was never my goal. I have seen the improvements we got made to the Ranger proffesion based on everyone posting their ideas in that forum, I only hope we can do the same here.

Perhaps Jaegen should pull a Mineras and write an open letter to Holo in the discussion forum... too bad everyone seems to think we are overpowered already (powerful crack they be smokin).

I'm Bounty Pistol Specialist and Master of two Pistoleer trees.

I was intending to go master pistoleer, but I'm kind of inclined to go carbineer/bounty carbine now.

Well, I'm only a little ways into the pistolleer tree, but I am thinking of putting the rest of my pistol xp into smuggler and picking up commando instead of continuing on to master pistolleer.

Anyone else?

i would re-work my template again for sure but i just dont like the game enough to bother.

im sure most are tempted to go smuggler when they werent before since now it is the only real option for a pistoleer who wants to avoid wading into the gimp pool too far
