((I wrote this on page two of the Pistoleers need Lovin Too thread on the discussion board. But I'm rather proud of the sentiment behind it and think it ought not to remain buried on the second page of a topic somewhere. Those of you that agree, speak up. Those of you trolling through from other professions' boards that agree, feel free to share it there too))

Wow... wouldn't that be nice? Just think. Mature players that thought about the problems their classes faced and suggested constructive ideas for their OWN classes instead of demanding that other classes should function as badly as their own.

Why, if people did that, perhaps we'd see a change in the general mindset at SOE when it comes to the changes implemented in general patches. Real improvements that complement the intent of a class instead of nerfs that level the playing field, rendering any kind of diversity moot. Why should anyone pick one class when it has nothing to make it any different from another? This is the road we're travelling down.

Let's have an end to negative criticism of other people's classes and focus on what can be done to improve our own classes. One might even start by considering what one's class is meant for in the first place. IE: Pistoleers should be masters at using their chosen weapon. Bounty hunters should be masters at tracking down and incapacitating an individual. Commandos should be military tacticians and skilled in the use of heavy weapons. Etc... etc... etc...

Am I making any sense here? Consider what your class was meant for and then start making constructive suggestions towards that aim. If it's all about the stats and numbers so you're better than the next target on the PvP field, why are you even playing something like SWG instead of something like... Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic the Gathering? You know, with the kids down at your local comic store who can REALLY whine and argue like the sort of seasoned Rules Lawyer's that you used to see in 1st and 2nd edition D&D? There's some pain for you. Getting called on some obscure tournament ruling by a 12 year old.

I do not aim with my hand;
They who would aim with their hands have forgotten the face of their master.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun;
They that kill with their guns have forgotten the face of their master.
I kill with my heart.

Didnt you know that every class should be balanced in all circumstances and that my Class (insert here) is not balanced against this one and I should be able to kill anyone.!!

thats what every nerf post really boils down to.

The only thing i even though needed nerfed was Burn in PVP which got fixed with damage reduction and CH having 3 rancors out.

I think the game is balanced. Maybe throw TKA"s a mini burst run to use in PVP and take out there dizzy and thats about it

Now they need to fix every classes broken skills

While in some games this might be true, SWG is different.For instance, bounty hunters and pistoleers. Bounty hunters can easily dabble in pistoleer, while a pistoleer can not get bounty hunter skills with out mastering another profession. The way it is now, we have bounty hunters who already have better skills and a better pistol leeching skill mods and possibly a few specials like stopping shot/pistol whip off the pistoleer line. If pistoleers were made more powerful, this would make bounty hunters more powerful because the game has no linear class progression. Bounty hunters are already considered overpowered by a vast majority of the players. The meaning behind your post is well intended, but unfortunatly in the pistoleers situation it does not apply.

From my understanding of the BH correspondant resignation fiasco the BH is getting a re-org (not necessarily a nerf) so that you have to take master to get the full effect of what the BH pistol line currently gets.
