I'm 1/1/3/3 in Pistoleer and it says that I am not qualified for the Republic Blaster. I hear so much about it, can someone tell me if thats just a bug or not?

As I mentioned in my "Status Update" post, no one knows why some of us have the Republic Blaster certification while others of us don't have it. Try using Blaster that was made AFTER the patch anyway, to see if it works even though you don't have the certification, and let me know what happens.

I'm trying very hard to get an answer from the Devs on this issue ... no luck so far.

From what I have seen on Ahazi, many weaponsmiths have been putting them on their vendors and I actually bought one and used it, not to bad but I think I will stay with my Fwg5.

I have master pistoleer, and even though it reports non certified when examining the pistol, I don't receive an error when equiping it, and I'm hitting for same and better damage than other pistols with close to the same stats.

I have the weapon cert in my skills window as well, just doen't show on the pistol.

I have a Master Gunfighter and a Novice Artisan with pistol 2, bith on Bria. Both toons have the cert and can use the pistol.

They just fixed the problems with the replublic blaster an average one is around 2.0 speed 100-200 min/max dmg AP1 energy i beleive no idea when it goes live..

Dude you need to be a HUMAN to hav republic blaster cert. It is just like you need to be wookie to use a bowcaster.

No you don't need to be human. My wookie on Intrepid has the cert.

Its still broken for most people and the pre-patch blasters still don't work. Until its fixed completely its useless to try to figure anything out with this blasted blaster.

I am not sure about pre-patch but I now have the cert. I can say for certain that if I try to equip a pre-patch built Republic Blaster, I get the "you are not certified message". I was disappointed to say the least. I now have purchased a post-patch built Republic and while the read out on Examine says I am not certified, I can equip it and use it as normal, no damage reduction.

The new republic blasters are usable by anyone, no cert required.
