Thread: healing without medic
The normal stim timer is 60 seconds. Ruby Bliel cuts that timer down to 30 seconds.
I have a few friends that run without any medic, and they use this method very successfully. It is all about learning your template, and knowing your weaknesses as well as your strengths. That way you can tip the battlefield in your favor.
Is the Ruby Biel thing an exploit or working as intended?
Where you can take Ruby Biel, use the Stim, take more Ruby Biel, use it again, repeat until full...? (I don't use it, I rarely ever use Stims, but anyway)

err I though that was the way it was intended?
I never use ruby anyway, just use a stim every minute to reduce the wear on my mind.

The Devs were quizzed on this but didn't respond. If it's an exploit it will go away someday.

huh? I'm not sure I understand. Ruby lasts for 14 minutes. I get 2 heals in a minute. I've never tried to see if I could get 28 heals in 14 mins though; would be a waste of stims.

No... what I'm talking about does not have a 30 second timer.

The Ruby Bliel has been fixed and it now lasts for 10-14 minutes as opposed to instant use. So you can no longer use the method above. However, ruby does a great job for normal grinding. For PVP, you do need a good mind reserve for heals... PVE, it isn't really necessary if you're going for level 82 and below one at a time... It is nice though as heals are ona six second timer and you can use it over and over. Take some Aitha or Citrus Snow Cake and your healing efficiency goes through the roof.
So yes, those 15 points in medic are worth it. I think we're back to Pre-CU days as you really needed some medic to function....
Stims are okay, but it's not going to be the end all be all... believe me 30 seconds is a very long time when you're getting wailed on by a half dozen maruaders....
Really? It was patched? Did this 2 days ago while I was KD bugged and not able to stand up
