Howdy,
I'm a Master Rifleman/TKM who is dabbling in Pistoleer. As you might have guessed, I'm leveling the Techniques line so that I have access to the state defenses. Now, I love Rifles, and I doubt I will ever drop that part of my template, but upon leveling up Pistoleer, I've become rather attached to the handguns that I bought. I actually really like what I've seen of Pistoleer and I've ben thinking about adding more of it to my template. I wanted to go MRifle/MPistoleer/TKM, but the problem is that there aren't enough points to do that (which is ridiculous, IMO, but whatev')
Now, my question: How important is Master Pistoleer? I don't think I will be dropping the Master TK ranking as it's far to valuable for both PvP and PvE, IMO. Another reason why I want Pistoleer is because I'm a roleplayer, and my character is a gunfighter at heart. Realistically, he'd use ALL the guns in the game, but that's a luxury we don't have.
So, if I was to pursue Pistoleer, but can't Master it, which line is the least important? I want to getas much of the "good stuff" out of the prof as I can, since I can't have the whole thing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your time

I'd say the best part of the Master Pistoleer skill box is the skill mods (+20 Pistol Speed, some Dodge, yadda yadda yadda). Multi-Target Pistol Shot (or MTPS as we call it around here
) doesn't work so well, if at all, some people say it works for them, others say it doesn't work at all. DisarmingShot2 is useless, just as useless as DisarmingShot1.
As you're 11 points (correct my math if I miscounted) shy of MRifle/MPistol/TKM then you'll have to leave out pretty much an entire Pistol line. Since you'll get plenty of Ranged and Melee Defense from Rifleman and TKM, I'd say you can skip Pistol Grips. The best thing is Grips is Dodge really, and I'm not sure you'll need it all that much. Techniques, and Stances are a must, and Marksmanship... well if you can't hit anything then why bother y'know?
If you really want to have a little Dodge (although a little doesn't do much, Dodge works best at Master Pistoleer) you could just get Marksmanship 3, which should allow you enough points to get Grips 1, but I don't think it would be worth it.

Thank you, Kaern. That'sclose to what I was thinking actually, but Ifigured I should ask the pros first. Dodge is fairly useless to a Rifleman/TKM, so I imagine that the Grips line will be the most "useless" to me. I spoke with an ex-MasterPistoleer, and he said the same thing as you, so I'll take this collective of information to the bank
