Thread: Dx2s *The third way*

I'm tired & I need to sleep so I'm not going to make this a long post. But rather than making a Dx2 stronger and faster, why dont you simply allow it to be the only gun in SWG where you can hold one in each hand.


This will be likegiving the option for having twice the speed, in exchange for twice the HAM drain, and without giving a single pistol unrealistic speed.

I like this Idea. A friend and I have been discussing this for a while and I like it. Think about it, when you think of a pistol specialist, don't you think of the old west? Aren't they always pictured as shooting it out with TWIN PISTOLS? I don't think that only the DX2 should be this way. I think that at Master Pistoleer you should be able to equip any two pistols. Make it a special HAM cost, and fire both at the same time at the weapon speed of the slower one. Meybe have some of the Defenses of pistoleer not work if you are using Twin Pistols. Anyway, that is my thought on the subject.

absolutely! i'd love wielding one of my 275 @1.0 pre-patch krayt fwgs in the left, and right hand being able to finally deal some damage

lets try to be a little realistic here. fwg-5's and other pistols were nerfed cause the devs felt that pistols were doing way too much damage. do you honestly think they will allow us to double our damage per second by giving us duel wield, i think not. if they do give us the option of using two pistols simultaneously i bet we wont be able to use specials and if that is the case i rather stick to using one gun with high multiplier damage shots like stopping or fan shot.

Thats why I reckon it should only be on the dx2. That way they can configure it so that its reasonable with both a single gun & double gun without taking away specials... & also that way you won't get people using two of the best gun on the market side by side.

I would agree except for the sound the DX2 makes when you fire it. Who's going to be afraid of a guy dual wielding pistols firing "Pew...pew...pew". I have to giggle when ever I hear one fired sounds like somebody making the sound with his mouth...lol.

If I'm busting in both guns blazing I want some real cannon fire, "Blam blam blam".

I know I'm shallow but surely someone feels the same way.

okay lets do the numbers on this.


assumption : average non-krayt dx-2 105 - 160 with a average 25% damage slice and a 32% max and 16% min powerup.= 152 - 264 = average damage of 208


208 * 1.5 * 5 (stopping shot) = 1560 *2 (dual wield) = 3120 average pve damage and 780 average pvp . these numbers dont seem excessively high but nontheless are way too high for a average shot. factor in krayt weapons, knockdown bonus , higher damage slice, and armor piercing and we will have the entire swg combat community crying nerf.


p.s. sorry for being so ana_ly retentive but i dont see dual wield as a viable option.
