Thread: DA1 vs. Stopping Shot on lairs

I did a quick look at these, and it seemed Stopping Shot was the better way to go, at least for me w/my 0.9 scout blaster. I don't have exact stats so I'll have to double check but it appeared like 1200-1500 w/stop and like 900-1100 w/DA1.

yeah StoppingShot does more damage, but there's a much longer delay between usages of it.

Use disarm on lairs so you don't feel ripped off for spending 175k pistol xp on it. You will get some use out of Stop no matter what, so give Disarm a chance to do sumthin.

I use stopping shot on lairs. At master pistoleer the delay in not a factor.

Just have to ask, why bother with specials at all on lairs? I usually change to a stocked fwg5 when hitting lairs, with normal damage. Saves alot of condition on my krayt guns. Whats the point in pulling off big number hits on lairs?

The point is to destroy lairs faster.

Bah sorry my phone rang. I'll clarify.


I always use scout blasters for destroying lairs. Low ham cost, cheap to buy, fast speed, fair damage. I then spam a 10-shot macro that fires Disarming Shot 1. It hits harder than the default attack, and just as fast (after you factor in the player's pistol speed modifier).


So if it blows up your target faster, and you do it in fewer shots, why not?

Yeah that's what I do. I have a Scout Blaster I use just for destroying lairs. Spam a few specials to make the lair go down faster, and you're all set.

Well, that was kinda obvious, but seeing as how my guns costs 1-2million each I'd rather spend 2min extra killing the lair
