I've beenr eading pistoleer threads and I've heard this BS about being able to do 20k a second with fan shot.....and guess what--you forgot to mention that you **edit**in put the best items in your weapon. Get a lot of damage with a normal pistol, not some krayt super high damage and speed pistol, show me screens of a normal pistol doing that much damage. I've fought jedi and they do not do 20k a second damage, I want to see normal ownage not **edit** maxed out ownage.

Ya know, what the hell does "ownage" even mean? Geez, some people and their "uber" attitudes....who cares if it's it krayt weapon or not? If you want to do big damage, get a better weapon. Nobody is gonna do good damage with a dinky little CDEF peashooter...EVER.

Your saying a better weapon does more damage?!?! NO WAY!

people talking about their exaggerated damage doesn't help our profession at all. They brag, but fail to mention that:

A) the weapon is krayt-made.

B) They have a max damage powerup.

C) They rolled unusually high on the damage.

D) They were firing at a knocked down target.

E) They fudged the numbers a little on top of it all.

It has been going on on this forum for months, and it really gets to me. People come here and read this crap, not knowing it is, at best, exaggerated with imporant details left out entirely. One guy even claimed to be firing twice per second. Devs bend to the will of the general population, not to the will of those most concerned. Spreading lies about how amazing we are for the sake of personal pride isn't the best way to go about getting fixed.

If you have really fought Jedi, which I imagine takes a lot of skill and therefore a lot of time to get said skill, how can you be naive enough to believe someone who says they do 20,000 points with a Fan Shot?

Or were you just killed instantly by a Jedi after your Novice Marksman fired a shot at one and THAT's your basis for comparison?

It is possible to do 20k damage with fanshot, but it has something to do with the damage from multiple targets being piled all into one target. Example: There are 6 enemies in the room, you shoot and rather than doing 2k to each you do 12k to one lone enemy and the rest are unaffected. I have also heard that this glitch has something to do with a lot of corpses laying around.
