Yes, but he said it like its a bug and that it is supposed to be an area attack.

Last thing i think i heared is that they changed it on purpose to be an area attack like advanced strafe for riflemen.

Anyways Im just curious if you guys ever had this problem? I know atleast one friend that has.

(It's not always a problem can work in your favour just aswell)

I do not know whether this is known to the devs, but it is known to the players, and it can occur with all area attacks, both the ranged "cone" type attacks and the melee 360 degree attacks.

It should be fixed; even the bugged fan shot can two or threehit a buffed PvP veteran, while the Carbine/Rifle/Flame versions can one-shot anyone.

That's how /fan is supposed to work, according to the descrip. It's basically an upgrade of /doubletap. Maybe they fixed it? If so, let us hope /multitargetshot is now working. Be nice to be m.gunfighter for something other than speed bonus.

I liked it at first, but it started to piss me off now.

All area attacks (happens mostly in the tusken fort to me)

have a chance to hit 1 target 10x instead of different targets once.

(the description at fanshot says its supposed to hit one target multiple times, but they changed that a long time ago)

Can someone please pass this on to the devs to get looked at?

What I think so far is that it only happends when you are either in the perfect shooting range or there is a half wall between you and it seems to always hit me or i hit 10x

Um, isn't it in the description of Fanshot that it is an attack that has a chance of hitting a single target multiple times?

Isn't that what he said?

I bet a pistoleer is not supposed to do 10x1500 dmg in 1 shot.

It's how it probably was in beta, but as long as i play on life and have fanshot it either hit 1 target once

and later multiple targets once.

unless it messes up ofcourse.

This is a bug that affects all AOE attacks, as Tullius_Cicero said. The Devs know about the bug but I don't think it's a priority item.

I'd rather see fanshot be an area attack than a multiple hit attack. It makes it a better shot IMO. I hope they keep it to crowd control, it's so handy as a AoE.
