Thread: New Pistoleer/Smuggler needs some advice...
the best combo for smuggler i have found is master smuggler, master pistoleer, and tk master, i'm currently working on the tkm and as it stands right now, i'm almost impossible to knock over, i can knock master bh's on the butt, and while there down there i healthshot 1 and 2, panicshot and then last ditch. last ditch take a bit more off your hams compared to stopping shot but it does hit harder. Fan shot is also very uselfull against pack's or mob's of baddies, the most underrated is double tap, it takes as much as a normal shot but hit's soooo much harder. So if your looking for one of the best in pvp and with the proper use of feign death you can solo just about anything, this is the combo i would take.
Medic is a waste of 15 skill points.
Do TKM/Smuggler/Pistoleer and get buffed. You won't need to worry about 800 point heals if you play it right becuase PvP only lasts a couple of hits for you.
I'm going Master Pistoleer, Master Smuggler, TKA 0300 with Master Marksman. The Whole TKM is a waste if your going to be toting around a pistol. The big thing you want from Teras Kasi is the densive mods vs. knockdown and those sorts of things. Teras Kasi Master is a waste of your time in my opinion except for the basics you get at Novice and then the defensive mods in the second column against knockdown, etc.... The extra mods you get at Master Marksman will make you dead on accurate and a notch quicker ultimately ensuring your panic shot, low blow, stopping shot, fan shot, and last ditch all hit when you need it to and all will be executed that much quicker. There is nothing more devastating than panic shotting someone and then laying into them with stopping and fanshot and then when panic wears off you low blow them only to lay into them, while they are on the ground no less, with Last Ditch. In PvE you'll be extremely powerful as well because of your bleeds, mods, and powerful shots.
Ontop of all this if you look at Master Smuggler they don't get much at the master level. In my opinion they are going to give smugglers something better than a 25% discount to faction perks at the master level, so be mindful of the future and what that could bring. Spices are also lacking-- look for some revamping of the smuggler profession and then you'll be happy I'm sure you stuck with smuggler.
This is all goes without saying that Smuggler content will be improved and not to mention being a smuggler gives you other alternatives than just fighting all the time. With selling spices and slicing you get to dabble in economics and money making opportunities. Buying and selling faction points can be a very marketable thing and if you get into the faction war you'll realize how great you have it with a 25% discount.
Just my two cents,
