Thread: Opinions on a couple of new templates

With the BH skill changes I was ponderinga couple of new templates. I am currently Triple Master, but the BH pistol stuff is too good to pass up. Keep in mind I do significantly more PVE than PVP, but I dont want to be worthless at PVP. So, here are the temps I am looking at:
All Pro Pistoleer:
Master Pistoleer
Master Marksman
0040 BH
0040 Smuggler
4000 Scout
4000 Brawler
Novice Commando
6 points left in Force Sensitive
I'm leaning toward this one. Pure offense, every pistol cert in the game. Very Weak defense.
Pistoleer w/ TK defense
Master Pistoleer
Master Marksman
0020 BH
0030 Smuggler
4000 Scout
4000 Brawler
0300 TKA
1points left in Force Sensitive
Better state defense losing last ditch is my biggest problem, lower accuracy gain of melee mitigation 2
3rd temp is same as above with no smuggler skills, insted going for 0304 in TK for ranged and melee defense. I hate to lose the dirty fighting tree though.
Pistoleer w/ Fencer Defense
Same as above with no smuggler or tk going 4030 in fencer. Defense will be sick butI still want the smuggler specials.
Any thoughts?

Im really torn between going for the all pro pistoleer and trying to max out my defenses with fencer. I think i have decided that right now, defenses are worthless because of the biological bombs being dropped on everyone by the godlike CMs. I think that with the All Pro, you have some very nice moves for PvP with the speed you need and weapons for PvE. Overall i think its better, for now...

I would go with the first one, I remember when there was the battle between Master Gunfighter / Expert Bounty Hunter or Master Gunfighter / Rogue, and now with this change you can finally get both of em heh, should be cool.
I was thinking about the first one you said but 3040 bh instead of novice commando so I could try jedi missions, but then again a launcher pistol with lastditch and master gunfighter / expert bh speed would be good for taking out turrets and things.

I like your first template:
Unarmed IV (29)
Explore IV (29)
Master Marksman (77)
Master Pistoleer (63)
BH 0040 (20)
Smuggler 0040 (20)
Commando 0000 (6)
Gives you all the pistol mods, certs, AND blast damage from the Launcher pistol for 244 skill points, if I calculated properly. Add in novice TKA for a little meditation during downtimes.

Thanks for the opinions. I am just concerned about the complete lack of defense the APP config has. No melee mitigation, and obscenely low melee and ranged defense. I guess if I go that route I won't be able to solo many creatures (like mokks). I guess one would have eat synthsteak like candy, and have great skill tapes. Can anyone comment on how detrimental this defensive situation would be vs the extreme offense? Thanks

You would actually have better defenses than the current MP/BH Pistols combo. Besides, offensive is the best defense.

Wait are you seriously saying that you may not be able to solo mokks with that template. Are you sure you're using a gun! I can kill mokks at BH 0-0-4-0 and Pistoleer 4-4-4-3. With the smuggler DF line will have no problem with mokks at all. Get buffs and armor and go kill'em. BTW I am using a Krayt Scatter that maxes at 411 /w a Pup. (It helps a little)
