Im currently a pistoleer 0044 and BH. With the new pre reqs coming im gonna master pistoleer. Which tree, accuracy or grips should i do first, one or the other or simultaneously?

I'd say Accuracy, then you hit things better, thus killing things faster, and thus leveling up faster. That's what I did when I decided to go ahead and Master Pistoleer.

He already has more accuracy then a master pistoleer with the BH pistols... so all in all it doesn't matter, you probably rarely miss right now anyways, and dodge doesn't really do anything until master pistoleer anyways, so ya, it doesn't matter what you do, neither tree will get you to master faster.

Very true. In your case, it doesn't really matter. I would suggest capping your experience before training. It's a good idea for most people. When you gain a new box, you get less experience for the things you kill because you are technically higher level, even if you don't kill things any faster.

The cap is twice whatever your highest trainable skill is. So if your highest Pistoleer skill is (for example) Techniques 2, then you go by what Tech 3 costs (350k, so you cap at 700k). If your highest is Tech 3, then you go by what Tech 4 costs (450k, so you cap at 900k). Getting Tech 4 won't make your cap go any higher; it will remain 900k forever (unless you start dropping skills).

This is correct. I have been maxed out at 900k for what seems like forever. Can't wait to spend those on smuggler pistol skills after bh changes

Are you sure? I'm fairly certain the capis 2X your highest attained skill level. So at Novice (125k) you would cap out at 250k.

I'm 100% positive. I mean, what if you only had Novice Marksman? What would your Pistol/Rifle/Carbine XP cap at? It can't cap at your highest attained skill because you haven't attained anything yet. Pistols 1 costs 1k XP (or at least I think it does, it's been so long since I had to earn it!) so you cap at 2k XP. At Novice Pistoleer you cap at 350k, since your highest trainable skill would be Pistol Grips/Marksmanship/Techniques at 175k. Once you earn Techniques, Marksmanship or Grips 3 then you cap at 900k because the next skill costs 450k, and 900k is actually the highest your Pistol XP cap can go.

Trust me, I'm not wrong on this one

You're correct. It's 2X the next highest obtainable level. Not sure what I was thinking of.

It is that way for all the combat professions at least. Though I did find an exception with Architect unless they changed it. It capped out just under the 2X level. I was 3/4/4/3 in Architect when I maxed out my XP. I was a bit short from being able to train the last two boxes (I think it was only by 1k). But for the combat professions you are absolutely correct.
