Thread: Stepping down as Pistoleer Correspondent, it's been a good run
/salute
cheers, buddy
thanks for all the hard work! you've been a great help to us all!
sorry to see you go ![]()
Thanks all, I appreciate it.
I'll be hanging out until they find and transition someone, so I'll still be checking the corr boards and this forum for a bit longer.
As far as "waiting until changes are made", honestly I'd have loved to, and did tryto stay to that end. I had intended to leave over a month ago but wanted desperately to see some of the top changes get made before I left (since we had spent so much time/energy on getting it right), so I stayed in-game. Who likes to leave things not finished? I certainly don't. But of course the reality is that posting our issues in good order is "finishing", and we finished over 2 months ago (!), the rest is up to the devs. Anyway, either way I was leaving the game, and you all deserve someone that's actively playing so that new changes and new issues are known intimately by them as well. Like the FWG5 issue, I have not had the time to sort through why the change was made, but ifit was made just in response to complaints and not some "game design plan", I would not be surprised. Why was it desgined like it was in the first place? Oversight? How many oversights are there that result in nerfs that customers hate? Is that incentive to get it right the first time, at least in spirit? Was it unknown how krayt and feeders work with weapons? Come on...just unbelievable. See, it's this frustration that got to me
Anyway, on a positive note, I think given time SWG will be much more than it currently is, I just dont' have time for "any" MMORPG right now, FPS is about the most time I can handle for a while ![]()

I enjoyed your contributions considerably. You made clear many things I did not have the time or patience to filter and digest. I thank you for that.
Be well Always and Best of Luck to you, Sir.

Make sure Samra is "volunteered" into the correspondent role *evilgrin*
Not a bad idea -- if he actually wants the job, of course.
With the FWG5 nerf, and FanShot nerf, and Bounty Hunters screaming bloody murder generally, we probably cannot afford to be without a Correspondent for too long.
Bummer that you have to step down. There's still so much that needs to be done to this profession and you seem to know so muchmore about what pistoleer needs than the devs do.
Thanks for your knowledge, fairness, and extreme competency. If the next correspondent is as knowledgable as you about pistoleer, then we should be in good shape in the future.
One of the few corrispondents that backed their claims up with calculations and hard data. I learned a lot about the mechanics of this game from your posts.
I wish you well in your future endevors.
/em kowtow
Cheers,
Juba
