I said 7 trees useless referring to all of the scout ones which you call lines, all of the scout lines, and then master and novice scout as another *line*
I dont care to put my *extra* points to another class such as pistoleer or CH. I am looking at this situation from a PURE BH perspective.
And you apparently have no idea what a real commando is/does if you think your brawling is useless. Read some of TheBadLlamas suggestions in your Commando forums sometime, you may be suprised.
Let me ask you: if you think all those skills are useless, maybe you should start a petition or campaign for those skill modifiers to be dropped once novice BH is obtained? I think you'd miss many of those skills if they up and disappeared tomorrow.
Obviously, I disagree those skills are useless, since I *choose* to spend my skill points on them. You have to know how to use the ones in the Ranged Support line, but they are actually very useful if used properly.
I do have a very good idea what a *real* commando does, but this is Star Wars, not reality.
I have read TheBadLlama's ideas on Commando and I think they're great. I would love to see Commando implemented the way he wrote. But he's talking about adding brawling bonuses to the Commando tree. He was NOT saying that brawler is useful the way its implemented now in the novice Brawler skill tree. I did previously have an interest in Commando, but since it was implemented rather crummily (not a word probably), I gave up on it until it gets revamped. So its not "my" Commando forum.
I have trained unarmed combat up to specialist (hoping Commando was worthwhile) and then gave up those skill points to learn other things. So I do have an idea what I'm talking about here.
