In my opinion, dual pistols wouldn't make pistoleers too powerful if it came with penalties...If they do give us dual pistols, this is how I think they should be:
-Increased attack rate at the cost ofless accuracy. ( The increased rate of fire is because once you fire one gun, you can start firing from the other gun, so the firing rate for each individual gun remains the same).
-Specials can only be used with the primary gun, which I think is the right handed one...the other gun just fires normal shots, and cannot fire specials
-Ability to select another target to auto attack as you focus on another enemy with your main gun (similar to Star Wars: Bounty Hunter)
For suggestions about new pistols that can be put in the game, aside from what was stated earlier...
I thought the gun Leia used in Return of the Jedi looked pretty cool...
And a suggestion for another rifle is the one Luke had with him in A New Hope
And a carbine could be the one Boba Fett uses...Unless that is in the game already...but I don't think so...

very interesting to say the least....but I really believe it they allow duel pistols, they will nerf the damage and not the accuracy much at all. Accuracy already sucks on pistols as it is.....but for sure damage will get the ax. Then it will be more for looks than firepower.
There was a post somewhere that the devs said that they will be adding more guns, vehicles, types of mounts in the game. The certifications for weapons will be rearranged a bit (I believe all elite professions should get thier pistols at master...but that's my opinion).

nah it would be cool if they added a cold pistol. i think there is only 1 gun in the game (SG82) that deals cold damage. So whats the point of having a cold layer for armor when almost nobody past rifles 3 uses it.
I agree with narcranor... on pretty much all of it...
especailly the extra weapons for visual nice quick fix i think
other comments
disarm shot- a stalling shot; stops them from attacking you for a while, but does extra dmg
MeleeDefense2(Pistol Whip 2)- basically i'd give this either a dmg increase or the abiliry to kd faster
Body Shot 3- **edit** duh (speaking of this BS1/2 thing, can you tell a difference in dmg between the two? i can't)
Double Tap- it's fine, just maybe could use a renaming or something... or moved to master pistoleer and made better for reason double tap is used by assassins/sharpshooters whatever you like as a killing shot... two shots to make sure the person is dead.
Stopping Shot- its cool, but how about making it do what its name says it does?
Fan Shot- don't have it yet

We need some sorta uber Master pistoleer shot too, such as double tap, and replace its spot with something that targets mind
Also, move KD to 2nd level stances, and KD2(or maybe master pistoleer and replace with leg shot type attack?) to 4th level stances to elimintate dabblers (grrr)
Anything I'm missing?

Take KD1, move that to 2nd level Stances.
Take KD2, move it to Master Pistoleer with dmg/kd speed increase, and replace it's spot with leg/mindshot OR move that to 4th level Stances and just fix itso its not completly useless
I like the idea of moving double tap somewhere and making it a mindshot attacking (double tap was 2 shots @ the head or neck/spine to the person you were trying to kill)

not a problem if you could make the components/resources the same, just make the body different... its simply asthetics(sp?)
its just a quick fix i think until we get more certs

The reason why crafters only make these pistols is because no-one really wants any other types (besides the Scout) because the rest are terrible. It would give weaponsmiths more content (fun) to be able to create so many different types of pistols.

Some things I would like to add:
If pistols were to get new pistols, I think other weapon types should get new weapons ![]()
For the dual wield, accuracy penalty is also what I had in mind to balance it, but I also think that the primary gun should be the only one capable of doing specials, and the second gun can only fire normal shots. Also, the second gun can lock onto another target and shoot at that while you use yourprimarygun to concentrate on a main target. Similar to Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
For holsters, I think the system should be where you can get the holster and equip it just like any other clothing, and when you put away your blaster it is in the holster (and the blaster does not take up inventory space when in the holster). But if you do not have the holster equiped, the gun should be stored just like it is now without holsters, going into your inventory. I also think that other weapons should have options like this: carbines maybe being able to hang from your waist, rifles can be slung on your back, one handed melee weapons on your waist, larger weapons and polearms around your back. ![]()
