NOTE : De-10s are POST combat revamp weapons. They will not be affected by the code changes.. or so say the devs.

You can use the base stats do determine effectiveness. Compared to whats available now , yes the DE-10s are GREAT pistols
Problem is that noone really knows how combat rewamp will affect other guns, nor do anyone know how the rewamp will affect the ability to reach speedcap. You might very well end up with a highdamaging gun that does the same dps as DX2 or Rep. Blaster. Yes The DE-10 is an awsome weapon right now, but you might end up with a weapon that is really not that special after rewamp... juat to play the Devil's advocate here

Bloodfin is by far the most expensive server. It always has been. And then the most credit duping also took place on Bloodfin which only made matters worse!
Anyhow, I ask again... can someone explain to me how someone can hit for as much damage as the person who started this thread? Did they take away the 75% reduction in pvp??? Those sound like PvE numbers for a pistol!

I traded a pearl for mine which was worth 3.5mil so.. so I'd say Valcyn is prety damn close to bloodfin.

aight,
i used a +120 -0.98 tissue
i'm pure master pistoleer,
and i do AWSOME in PVP!
by the looks of it, as master pistoleer BH pistol 4 you should not have any problem with any pvp,
with your speed and accuracy there should not be a target that you cannot hit.
but since u said you have a +400 dmg geo i'll break it down for you...
pvp dmg reduction is auto 25% so we'r down to +100
if you say the ppl are experienced pvp players then they must have a nice composite armor.
well armor has AR1 thats another 50% down from your AP0 gun - we'r left with +50
then we have the 40% resistance to stun dmg - we'r left with +30, i cannot belive that these people dont eat some dmg reduction foods so nother 40% down the hole we'r left with +20 or so,
then i'm totaly sure that they have a nice shield generator say 20%, so we'r left with +16 dmg out of your awsome 400+ gun,
lets say you shoot a mondo shot and hit for 1000 dmg after pvp reduction
50% AR1 vs AP0 = 500
40% stun resist = 300
40% dmg reduction food = 180
20% shield = 144
now how often do you hit over 1000?
now lets just say you used a nice scatter pistol or Dx2 pistol with about same stats
and you hit a 1000 dmg shot after pvp reduction
0% AR1 vs AP1
gives you much higher starting point,
stopping shots fire much nicer from faster gun,
well at any rate, try to kd, shoot while moving, stay at ideal range, and fire away with stopping shots,
eat accuracy food, and dmg reduction foods,
try to use torso shots and eye shot (for bling), as starters, and then spam the stopping shots,
you will get much nicer resoults.
yours Joubei.

now while some of these may end yup being extremely awesome damage potential guns, there is HUGE risk involvced in using these extremely rare extremely high end krayt tissues to make DE-10's. After testing on my own and on other servers, its pretty apparent that the "DE-10 Pistol barrels" have invisible mods which can ranges from having zero stats on them to reducing speed significantly as well as adding as much as 50 damage if not more. This is a potentially large risk to involve such expensive looted enhancement itmes in. For more information im going to direct you guys to the post i made in teh weaponsmith forums about this, and im going to ask that any of you who have DE 10's report on this thread and or ask your weaponsmiths who made them for you to do the same.

stealth mcownzjoo of valcyn
I would like to add that i have several pistols of an equitable caliber to the one mentioned in the first post of the thread,l and these most definately are valid pvp numbers, as ive hit such numbers myself on multiple ocasions
the guns im most well known for toting on valcyn are
a 569 1.6 geo a 516 1.8 MRB
and several 400 and 500+ scatters as well (I also have some really crazy things even better thati rarely show anybody because i only use them on special ocasions due to low remaining condition and a fear of the current repair system)). ive got roughly 20 krayt pistols all made with +87 or better tissue and all are damage sliced high enoughso that my krayt guns are all at least 450 maximum damage or else i "get rid of them". these numbers previouslty mentioned in both my post here, and in the first post of this thread and the damage he claims to doARE real, but you also have to keep in mind that different guns work best against different armor. I suggest stopping by the best armorsmith on your server's shop each time he puts somethig new out, so u can keep an idea of what your opponents will have
ive seen stun armor with 4% resists and high base% 4% stun and liek 30% base, 30-40+% stun with low base 30% ish, as well as 42 stun with 72 base.... now considering the majority of the people who buy this stuff cant afford to buy multiple suits to get an all effect sliced suit etc unless they get miraculously lucky, knowing your most frewuent opponents gear is a big advantage. Sometimes teh geo IS in fact better than the republic, dx2, SR combat, MRB, or scatter, and sometimes it is not. the base resists on the armor have a significant impact on that as well, and you guys should aways keep that in mind. because the geo doesnt have ap1, this becomes a rather annoying problem in my opinion, with having to try to keep tabs on what most of my oponents wear and where they buy their armor from, in order to know which weapons to use so i dont have to "guess and check" at a risk of losing potentially damaging hits. If you dont knwo or have tie to scope your opponents out etc, keep multipel guns hotkeyed and if something isnt working, effectively, its gonna be attributed to resists or food, and you may or may not have to change your gun... this can unfortunatly become very complicated when it really shouldnt have to for us. This mention of armor was in reference to whomever was posting damage differences betweena geo and an ap1 gun. It really isnt as simple as just using the ap1 gun because sometimes the ap1 ends up having even more damage cut. This is not a frequent case, however it happens often enough to pose a very large problem for a lot of people.

Personally i love this gun just because of the look and the fact that it is already how its intended to be after the combat revamp so you dont have to guess at how effective it will be...although I wish it had a different damage type.

How does a gun that, you can't get unless you are a different prof or have millions of crds to spend on a gun, fix the prof. When the gun is available in large numbers then the prof might be fixed. Why would we have to have an uber looted gun to be fight a prof that can go down and pick up a Walmart special gun and kick our butts. Ifsomeone thinks this gun is great, thenthey are just feeding devs who think that fixingthe prof isgive us guns 80% of pistoleers can't get (well ok maybe 50%). Things might change after the CombatReNerfing, but I want to play now, with the prof that Ihave, I don't want to master a prof everytime they change something in the game so thatI can be competitive in PVE or PVP.
This is not a fix, nor is it any kind of balance, what it is going to turn into is "Hey I got this great gun, I think I will pick up pistol skills". Or we are going to hear some one shouting DE-10 for sale only 10 mil, and us looking at bank account with only 4 mil or less. Our best guns are guns we can't get for ourselves, and the only way we might be able to get them is if we are a pistol/swordsman or pistol/rifleman.
I am not saying this is not a great gun, it is and I would love to have one, just not at the cost that they are at. Having a pistol that is on the same lines as a T-21 that cost a whole heck of alot more is not balance. We pay the same monthly charge as everyone else, why not treat use like it along with the other borked prof (yes even the bloody Jedi).

simple reason why a 400 damage geo is not as good as a 600 damage de-10... AP.
if you are using a Geo pistol and your opponent has on 40% stun armor you are pretty much out of luck... first you get you 25% pvp reduction, then you have your 50% reduction for ap0 vs ar1, then you have 40% resistance.
if your opponent happens to be in his stun armor and you use your DE-10 you are in a pretty good place... most stun armor has lower stats for other attack types... any good pvp player will notice and switch out to something with 85% to energy. I am pretty certain (did not do the math though) that even against 85% resistance composite armor an AP1 energy weapons with 600 max damage will easily outdamage a 400 max damage geo pistol vs 40% stun armor.
