The top pvpers have stun suits, mine, takes a 500 geon.. chews it up and spits it out... -stopping shot does 30 damage to me.
The elite have de-10s.. and you need to cap speed (which is at 125!!) to be able to cap last ditch or eyeshot, or torso. IT IS POSSIBLE!
These are the types of uneducated comments that make me laugh.
If you are going to be dueling all the time, no, Pistoleer is not the best profession. The only strategy that will truly be effective is using a DE-10 to break PSG, run synthsteak down, and blast the crap out of someone (full 39%+ stun armor or not). Low Blow them, and with the lag they should stay down for a few hits, enough for you to get quite a few great hits in before they can heal. If the person only has novice medic, their heals will not be able to keep up with the damage you are putting out, for the most part.
Now, in group PvP is where Pistoleers truly shine. By group PvPI mean full groups of 20+. Your melee tanks should be able to keep the heat off you for the most part, and keep your targets intimidated. Blast thecrap out of them with a good geo, hope thatyour jedi will keep them bothered with LS damage. With the new heal lag (YAY SOE!) healingtakes a few seconds to get off of your queue. By that time,they should be dead.
Ifone more person uses the blanket statement "pistooler is teh sukage in teh pee v pee" I think I will freak out.
Damn forgot to mention that 125 is not the cap on speed with a pistol. Check out the damage calculator (I am too lazy to make a link) to find the exact stats on it.
