Thread: whats the best pitsols out there
My DH17 has a DPS of about 70 (sliced)
I dont have the dmg on hand, but the speed is 1.4
I use an Origins DL44 42-136 2.0 sliced by Tigard to 1.6.
And I have seen one of the same pistols sliced by Tigard to 1.4.
This is on Bria BTW.
I use a DH17 Pistol (look like carbine)
79-125ish 1.7 speed 11/35/11 HAM. Unsliced.
Well, I use DL44 Metal pistol, stats are 45-165, 2.2 speed, and I do a hell lot of damage with hit. im very pleased with the weapon.. but I wonder where you get all those 1.x'ish pistols? I really want to get one!
I use a FWG5 ..
48-211 Dmg
12.98 Wound
2.3 Speed
Same HAM as normal 11/36/18
Yeah Chilastra has some pretty darn good weapon and armor smiths....seems to be a pretty decent involved beta tester crowd on that server(at lot of us beta testers not on the west coast picked chilastra cause we didn't want to deal with the unofficial junk).
The one downside being the poor server is loaded and hemorages often lol
A lot of people don't realize that there are at least two kinds of pistols, short range and long range. Short range pistols do more damage, and have good modifiers at short range, but tend to hurt hard at longer ranges. Long range pistols tend to have little or no benifits at close range, but less disadvantages at longer.
Examples of Long Range:
FWG, Striker, CDEF.
Short Range:
DL44. SR Combat Pistol I think is as well, but I havn't been able to see one. I'm pretty sure Scatter is a short range pistol.
Check the distance modifiers, ideal ranges, ect. For a while I was carrying a Striker+DL44 combo, then I picked up a good FWG(I'm looking for a good Short range pistol that can deal even MORE damage, at the cost of a low ideal range).
I switch
DX2 64-165 dmg at a 2.5 speed (Looking for a better dmg one)
FWG5 96-200 dmg at a 1.4 speed (Gets really sick if put a good power-up on it)
Sliced - 42-208 .... bet if it was krayt, would've been really nice.
Not sure if it has been answered yet, but someone asked earlier in the thread what "slicing" is. Slicing is an ability that Smugglers have in which they can "slice" a weapon or piece of armor to make it better in some way (usually 25-35% better). When a weapon is sliced, it's Damage or Speed can be raised or lowered, respectively.
Now onto the weapons that I use.
FWG - (DPS = 125) (hope I did my math right... ((MinDmg + MaxDmg) / 2) / Speed right?
Speed 1.1
MinDmg 62
MaxDmg 213
This weapon has been sliced, has no powerupand I paid 75k for it.
DX2 - (DPS = 78)
Speed 1.7
MinDmg 104
MaxDmg 162
This weapon has been sliced, has no powerup and I paid 60k for it.

P.S. I buy all my weapons from Joubei (spelling may be wrong) on Naboo, near Kaadara, on Bria.
