I have non sliced DX2's that are over 200 max. I would post the exact stats, but I am at work right now.

The DX2 has relatvelyhigh minimum damage too, and a nice tight damage spread, which not only helps in PVP, it helps your specials count for more, especially slow , high damage ones like Stopping Shot and Last Ditch. I know most of you use mostly Fan Shot so it might not be as noticeable.

Take astandard FWG5, wiith a damage range of somethign like 70-210. With Stopping Shot, which has a 5.0 modifier, and you get a *minimum* possible hit of (70x5=350) damage, which actually is kind of lame for a Stopping Shot if you think about it.

Now, compare that to a standard DX2 with something like 120-190 damage. Your minimum hit witha Stopping Shot is now (120x5=600) damage. Still a tad on the lame side but you can see the difference. Most of us use the heavy hitting single-target specials when the opponent is stunned, knocked down, at ideal range, or otherwise set up for losing a big chunk of a HAM bar. That's when you want the single-target specials to really count.

Against human players with damage mitigation this helps even more, as you lose less of your top-end damage. (because there is less of a spread to begin with)

Just another point to consider when thinking about whether a DX2 is any good or not. I personally like them.

I like the DX2, and always have.

I have a DX2 made by Yaman named "Geevo's Gun" that is:

1.9 SPD

123-303 DMG

36.6% Wound

And if you couldn't guess, yes it is sliced ... I am a Master Smuggler after all.

I also have a Geo Sonic Blaster (that I recently aquired). Haven't played with it much, but looks good for PvP.

The good thing about the DX2 is the higher minimum damage compared to the Republican Blaster. Since the DX2 has ahigherminimum damage thanthe Republican Blaster, you get more consistant damage from it. Of course neither compares to my pimp Scatter. The real advantage of the Rep blaster is the range mods at a far distance. I think powered up my DX2 does around 290ish and my Rep does around 370ish max damage.
