oh and to your correspondent, well no offence but it sort of is obvous that is is ours and im pretty sure specials 1-2 are supposed to be upgrades, not entirely new skills. Carbines are for croud control situations, It will be taken away from you guys and no you wont be screwed in PvP becasue you have other great skills and fast attack speeds.

i totally agree with you big ears... was pointing out time limit is needed.. just pulled 10 secs out of a hat. People that use knockdown for duels and spam it are gonna have a hard time when they nerf them and I can't wait for that. I'm sick of everyone going bh to get fire knockdown or underhand shot.. it's really stupid when it all depends who gets first shot off.. if i sneak up ona bh anduse panic shot once.. the duel is over. pistolwhip needs like 100 dmg max. or a slower recharge time. range knockdowns are practical though in physics.. if you hit someone in a vulnerable spot that hurts a lot they will fall which is why they should not be taken out of the pvp features... if you got pistolwhipped or got the butt of a rifle in your face.. you are out cold for a few hours if it's a good hit..

I don't know why everyone is being so hostile about your post Thadeus... but thanks for the heads up. Personally, I'm going for Stopping Shot more than I was worried about getting DisarmingShot2 (I didn't even realize it WAS a knockdown) but I agree it makes perfect sense for us to just get a higher damage Disarm and not a completely new effect. And if the Carbineer ChargeShot2 is truly not knocking down like it should, then you are spot on that a good assumption is the effects were switched.

And SuppressionFire doesn't work either - it's even noted in the In-Dev mega-patch on Test that they're fixing that.


I would suggest you bend your efforts to fixing Charge Shot and not worry so much about Disarming Shot eh?

Porthos you are digging your head into the sand, and hoping this just blows over with no change to Disarming Shot 2. You don't seem to understand that I would be overjoyed if the way it currently works is the way it's supposed to work. However, that is just simply not the case. You see I don't want it to go away, but I am 98% sure since it is a known issue (especially by the Carbineers and their correspondent), that it is going to go away.


So, we had better be prepared to say goodbye to it, and have our correspondent be prepared to discuss alternatives with the Devs. Maybe we can retain the special under a different name and description, or otherwise be compensated? Well let me tell you that is not the way SOE works, so we need to get working on this. That is all I have been trying to fricken say to you people and all you can seem to do is stonewall me with hostility and denial.


It is sooo clear that Disarming Shot 2 is not working as intended, and you just don't want to see it. If we dont start discussing it, and alternatives NOW, it is going to go away without any discussion from us, and the special we get in our MASTER Pistoleer skill will be the stupidest, most useless special in the game.


You will all pull your heads out of the sand, and your rear ends will be oddly sore, with a tattoo on one cheek saying "SOE was Here!"

Charged shot is a high damage shot, who the heck said it had to have an AOE knockdown? Perhaps your description is wrong. Stop whining...noone's holding you back from making a pistoleer.

Nice xakia, thank you for another highly unconstructive and unimformed post. It's not my description it's the in game decription.

Yep, you're absolutely right, xakia, youchanged my mind, I don't think charge shot 2 should have an AE knockdown either. It is totally obvious by the description.. doorknob

As a side note, when my friend first got Disarm 1 we were trying to figure out what it did so we talked toa CSR and he/she said it was suppose to do a knockdown.


Now, it doesn't make a lot of sense I guess for disarm 1 to do knockdown, but maybe the CSR just got it mixed up with DS2. Then again CSRs have been known to be less than helpful (some of you are great though), so I dont know if this has any significant bearing.
