Not if you have the infinite speed granted by taking both Master Pistoleer and Expert BH

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here, but many people seem to be missing the point about why pistoleer+BH is a bad thing

The issue really is stacking of mods...I have no problem with a pistoleer taking up BH to get torso shot and eye shot (although the latter is getting moved to master BH from what I heard)

I have no problems with Expert BH taking up smuggler for their line of specials

What I have a problem with is that the pistoleer mods stack with the BH mods = infinite accuracy and infinite speed

Then again, I am a big proponent of reworking the entire speed system anyway...I still don't see how a rifle can spam a special attack at the same speed as a pistol can at master levels...*sigh*

Just one more attempt to put things into perspective

I want to see holsters and a " KILL " shot in pistolleer. Make the other professions " DRAW " against us. Give us a kill shot in a duel/showdown.

We are gunfighters... we are suposed to be fast and deadly. Hence 1 shot 1 kill. No bounty hunter or commando should have an advantage against us in a gunfight. When you see a mastergunfighter and you a mastercommando or bountyhunter or sniper ect... you should be thinking... I dont want to get into a dual with this guy.... if I'm gonna fight him it will be at long range and from behind a rock or something.

Commando weopons are insainly powerfull... thats fine give them all the power in the universe, give us a kill shot. make quick draw mean something, give us holsters.

When we walk into a cantina there should be an uneazy quiet that fills the air... I will be happy when I can draw down on 3 or 4 players and drop 3 or 4 players in 3 or 4 shots. When I'm standing in the street and some commando has his flamethrower in his hands and I draw my FWG5 and blow him out of his socks before he can point his weopon at me... if we ever get that then we will really be gunfighters.

Oh and I think when gunfighters duel they should get ranked. But only vs. other gunfighters. We should be able to see just who is the deadliest gun in the galaxy.

Nah, that's awkward. Do what they have already done for some weapons, like the LLC. Have separate mods. Convert the BH Pistol line to the Scatter Pistol Line with all Scatter Pistol Mods, no Pistol Mods. Do the same with thier Carbine and with Smuggler Pistol Line. This way BHs will use BH shots with BH weapons at BH speed and accuracy. Then the Devs could tweak each class more easily as they see fit. Maybe Smugglers specials would be awesome but they'd get no speed or accuracy. Maybe BHs would stay faster than Pistoleers but less accurate. Master Pistoleers would be the fastestdraws. Whatever, that can be debated and adjusted, but this would decouple and simplify analysis and balancing. It would remove the synergies that make Pistoleer so attractive to dabble in for the top end hunters. Meanwhile, it can keep its usefulness for the low end fighters to dabble in for self defense purposes (like artisans or entertainers or medics).

Seperate mods would be nice, yes, but it's not going to happen. You have to look at it from the dev/programmer point of view.

To change mods, EVERYthing has to change, new mods have to be added to the combat code in many places (they don't exist, now, yes?), etc, while to change the professions allowed, they only have to add a new check to the 'can you learn this profession' check that's already there, for 'if has professions x or y, can't have this one)

Checking my guide, the ONLY professions involved in this would be Bounty Hunter, Pistoleer, and Carbineer, as those are the only elite/hybrid professions that share the same mods being changed for weapons.

So, BH can't be Pistol or Carbine, and neither of those two can be BH. MUCH simpler, and far more likely to be done, if they do anything at all.
