What's with the scatter envy? I'm a Pistoleer and a BH, and frankly I choose the post-patchDX2 over a scatter every time. When they fixed blast handlers for weaponsmiths, they made craftable DX2s significantly better to the scatter in every way. Higher damage, less attack speed, lower ham costs, there's no reason to use a scatter, they're both armor rating light, damage type acid. Hell, I even prefer the green bolt and understated high-tech zap of the DX2over theloudbang and messy spray of red blaster bolts that the scatter has.
