i think that is where the speed and accuracy bonus's come into play when you lvl up. i mean the higher lvl you are the less the accuracy of the gun should be a factor. or am i wrong assuming this.

I use a DX2 and reb mainly but when you get high on pistoleer, accurate weapons and fast ones dont matter because your skills will fix that.

Accuracy of a weapon will always matter, whether you are at master or novice. Basically, as your accuracy increases you'll get better accuracy with all pistols. This means that the differential between the (for example) FWG5 and the Tangle pistol is still the same. You'll still be hitting the same percentage more with the FWG than with the Tangle. So getting to a high level isn't necessarily a good reason to use a horribly inaccurate gun.

that's why I only use pistols made by Hoggy.

Lol he calls his line..."Sweet Dreams" and that's what all my targets end up having lol lol

true and not true, once its get to the % limit, it anit going higher, and there where the FWG5 starts to suck, because a good will hit the % at marksmanship 2 or so as for a master, where the % will rise for a gun like DX2. Same thing with speed, if your using a 1 speed gun as a master your dumb get a slower better damage gun the speed buffs of pistoleer with get it to 1.

The only way this would be true is if the accuracy mods brought the DX2 to "full" accuracy. Otherwise, the FWG5 is still more accurate. And even if the two guns have the same accuracy at Master level, the FWG5 will, a lot of the time still put out more damage because of it's damage stats. This is partly speculation, so when I reach master I will do some tests on Ravenous Tortons who are vulnerable to Heat and Acid. Since the DX2 supposedly has AP1 it should be able to match up to the damage output of an FWG5.

When fighting defensive template characters, give me accurate weapons over hard hitting weapons anyday.

Umm...most composite-wearers have stun layers put into their armor. I have it in every piece of my armor.

Max stun protection - 45% (theoretical; practical max 40%). Max on everything else, 90%. Slicing doesn't improve the stun protection eitherbecause it's special.. FYI :-)

This test will show you nothing, because AP weapons do not work against vulnerable targets. Assuming the FWG5 has the better damage, then it will outdamage the dx2 everytime in the above situation.

I do believe you are correct on the accuracy debate though, the FWG5 will always be the more accuarate weapon. Of course, I only think that matters when your trying to PvP against a good defensive template (at least at the master level anyway). I rarely miss with my dx2 now, and in most instances, it is my weapon of choice in PvP (high min damage and AP1).

Just my two cents.

And on the debate of which is better, the fwg5 or dx2..that ap1 does make a difference. Fight an AR1 critter with both guns..you'll decide on the dx2. If the critter has AR1 the dx2 looses no dmg, but the fwg5 dmg is decreased by 50%. On the flip side against a non armored critter the dx2 gains 25% dmg. Using an AP1 weapon against something without armor gives you a 25% increase to your dmg. so if you have a 125-199 dx2 and a 65-205 fwg5...against a non armored opponent the fwg5 does it's stated dmg while the dx2 does 156-248

PvE (if possible on most mobs):

scatter > dx2 > fwg5

PvP armor

tangle > scatter > dx2 > fwg5

PvP no armor

scatter > dx2 > fwg5

just my thoughts from an ex master bounty hunter going pistoleer (and no pistoleer is not a holo for me)

Republic Blaster > Scatter > DX2 > All others

I have never seen tangle perform better than a DX2 in PVP. It doesnt have AP1, its slow and its low damage.

Jawa Ion Rifle has decent damage, is fast, and has AP1. A rifleman can take advantage of the stun hole or low stun resists of composite well - a pistol user cannot. From my experience anyway.
