For PVP blast is very useful against turrets and AT's. You'll probably wantsomeone to tank the turret for you though while you take it down with the LP.
Turrets are Balst vuln, so the Ap doesnt come into play. But the LP, coupled with last ditch from smuggler and the 100+ speed you get from BH 0-0-4-0 and m.pistoleer its very effective VS turrets

I took out two Jedi at once using the LP with fan shot. I dont think they were expecting it as they were focused on other prey. Here's the thing...with MP/BH pistols, you can fire most LPs at the speed cap and if you even land one good stoppingshot or lastditch...well, the damage against an un-armored jedi is pretty significant....my 430+ LP with last ditch hits for over 3500 most times, completely devastating even buffed jedi.
I have no #s to prove it, but I blieve there IS some truth to the above rumors.

everyone is intrinsicly vulnerable to all dmg types, so ap doesn't matter at all REALLY WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THIS ap2 is alot better about breaking armor thne ap1 or ap0 its a increase to damge buy 50% or 25 % the resist percnet is then takin off of that amount as a swordsman trust me I know this.
I think it all depends on what you want to do I preferable like the scatter pistol, Geo pistol and DE-10 stats. Some people do have high blast damage resist but they have high % resist to all but lightsaber and ive even seen ls psg at 58% so Its all about the weapon its self. If you can get your self a high damage LP then go for it. Another reason I like scatters is they only take 1 tissue per gun. Thats alot of chances to get a nice damage slice.
if something is VULNERABLE, you get no AP bonus..... therefore an AP3 weapon deals the same damage it would normally do if the target had an AR3 rating
also about the turret/at-st tip, /doh! i totally forgot lol
in pvp, it's basically the only use, but it's a VERY good one, and the only way you can effectively take down turrets and at-st's Lol I can effectivly take out a turret in about 2 mins or lesswith my power hammer
you misunderstand..... i was just mentioning the blast damage, not the launcher specifically

690(pup'd t21)x1.5(initial modifier)x5(SS2 modifier)*.25(pvp dmg reduction)=1293.75
i've hit 1800 and higher with my t21 in pvp vs jedi so saying AR doesn't affect unarmored opponets does not add up.
