the new system I believe is on a scale of diminishing returns. There is no cap per se but eventually you will get to the point where the extra skill mods don't justify the SP to get them.

They're redoing them to dimishing return formula's, so no caps. The question is whether they'll tell us at which pointstacking 'emstarts becoming pointless (... point-less. Ha. Ha.)


There's a thing to consider for anyone going Master Pistoleer + 1 line of BH; All the lines contain GRS and GRS aswell as MD and RD. Since there's no pistol cert you're missing, if torsoshot and eyeshot would be more your thing, you can pick that up instead of the pistols branch and get comparative mods in the same neighbourhood as for taking the pistol specialization.


Drawback? Bar the exp needed would be something other than pistols, none that I can see. ('course, personally, I find the ranged KD and the dizzy+stun of the pistols tree to be fairly useful with pistoleer, but it might still be worth considering to pick up either the rifles or carbine branch instead...)

I think the draw-back will be on your health level. To reach the 3000 max health you need to master an elite combat profession.(I think?) Even though you may be gaining better skills by mixingelite skilltrees without the the master box do you get the health and in some cases armor bonus?

I will be going back to my old template of master pistols/master combat medic... the additional skillpoints will be used up with bh pistol specialization and 3 levels of fs healing

The CURB actually ends up being quite friendly to my Doctoleer. With the skillpoints freed up by no longer needing to master medic I can grab the ranged support line and maintain master doc/master pistols as well asgrab the line with the ranged KD ( 0/0/4/0/?) from carbineer.


So many tricks, and master doc level heals make this guy a great addidtion to any group, just as long as they aren't lookin for a straight up tank

What I am kinda miffed about if I read the pioleting skill tree accuratly is that you won't be able to minein space till you hit master piolet in any of the piolet professions. Thats just stupid.
