Thread: weapons slow movement while equiped OK but a pistol ???

You know, if we had HOLSTERS for our pistols, then we should have no movement reduction while not in combat!!!
Just adding the third dead horse to todays forums...

Its all about balance. if you could run full speed with a ranged weapon equipped, be it a rocket launcher or a pistol, then there would be no way for a melee profession to close with you. As it is now, its very difficult but possible for a brawler type to close.

anyway I don't think there should be any reduction in speed while not in combat at least
Ok, so they both burst run, they ranged guy would still be able to kite the brawler type indefinatly if there wasent some sort of movement penalty. What i do is just put my weapon on my hotbar and when not in combat, i unequip it. when combat ensues, i re-equip it. pretty easy.

Well, If the melee guy is carrying a huge hammer, a guy with a pistol SHOULD be able to kite him all day.

Bah, why nerf another profession when you can just improve the one that is needing a fix.
