My Republic Blaster was 220max damage before slice after which was 90-290. It's not a Krayt weapon. I bought it for under 10k. I'd say that the Republic Blaster is the best overall gun because it has + accuracy at long and short range, AP1, and costs much less than the other guns out there so you aren'tcrying in your Jawa beer when it decays into oblivion. The speed issue is remedied with the speed mods upon acheiving Master. The only real downside is that it does energy damage which is bad for PvP, but the gun is excellent in PvE.

I usually hit for 1500 to a little over 2000 in PvE with Fanshot. Now that I'm on Stances 3 my speed seems to have jumped quite a bit so I'm using Stopping Shot more and more. Fanshot just gets me into too much trouble because I usually agro a lot of unwanted opponents in PvE.
