Nope, not rounding up.
In solo groups you can pull the 99 difficulty missions that spawn Huurton Stalkers and Voritor Hunters and the like. These give you 5k xp a kill. That's why I started the thread - it seems most people grind Janta missions when they're in solo groups. You can get almost the same cash and make a crapload more xp if you do the harder creature missions.
What do i need to finish these 99 difficulty missions???
I've tried and get smashed every time. I'm buffed, got armour but can;t finish them off. Using Scout blaster as i stoopidly dropped BH and now can;t use my scatter pistol.
So i can de-group from the solo group and pick up those 10-20k missions as the difficualty is only 40 or less and can finish these lairs off.
i'm 2/2/3/3 Pistoleer so far
any tips??

Because I'm stupid.
No, really, it was 3 AM and I decided to drop down to Novice and master a combat profession. Before I was a slew of random combat skills. I have no idea why I ever thought of dropping it - especially Frontiering. That made me hate myself. Ranger was the most fun I've had in this game.... and I was one for over a year. /cry

/Kipup is your friend, it'll return you from a kneeling pose to a standing pose even when dizzy

Also, I believe some voritors can dizzy and posture down. PD isn't as bad for a pistoleer, but if you're Dizzy and Kneeling, and get into trouble and need to make a dash for your speeder, you're hooped, as you'll be on your back faster than Vader goes through flag officers.

During my grind i found that graul maulers gave the best xp. anywhere from 50k to 70k each lair. i went back last night as a master to see how fast i could cap. took me half a buff to cap. insanely good stuff. they are about 12k on the terms and vulernable to acid damage.

To summarize the great ways to grind Pistol XP:
- Horned/Slinking Voritors - 50k xp/lair
- Huurton Stalkers - 80-100k xp/lair
- Fort Tusken - Crapload of xp
- Graul Maulers - 50-70k xp/lair

The fastest way to pick up Pistol experience is by engaging in combat for reasons other than purely Pistol experience. After picking up Scout, I found myself obtaining hoards of Pistol experience while out harvesting resources to make credits.

Agreed, I have found I become fustrated if I am grinding to just get the xp, lately ive been going out and killing mobs for loot or just because and I do not get fustrated as much as I used to because I am not worried about getting the xp as I was when I was grinding just for the xp.
Buff, Brandy, head to npc spawn or go hunting for yellow con spawns.

Great info! Haven't tried it myself, but I sure will. Thanks!
Btw, shouldn't kickup or rollshot change posture from Prone as well? I don't seem to find that it does.

That's great news! Thanks so much! Do /tumbletostaning and /tumbletokneeling have the same effect?
