Umm... Congrats. Except that my point was that most Pistoleers will be happy when we can be a worthy foe without the help of BH skills and defense stacking Fencer onto our temp.

ahhh....i misread it...i thought you were talking about the defense stacking template after surrendering BH....but yes i cant wait to see the day i dont have to grind a melee prof to be better at a ranged prof

Yeah, when a good Pistoleer with some decent weaponry and no Bounty Hunter skills can be a foe worth reckoning, THEN we'll have achieved our final, nefarious outcome!

i disagree...i am mpistoleer; bh pistols, and fencer 0/4/3/0...and i am now having no trouble at all with most professions...not including CM/jedi...the key is staying on your feet and a good blaster...i have the dodge cap and KD defense of 100....and a 408w/pup geo. i usually use torso shot, but if they can heal that then i switch to eyeshot with a bleed and thats usually all it takes. dropping BH pistols to pick up defences is good too...but i think both templates are competative, and food and equipment is the difference maker.

Yes, you use torso shot with your suped up geo...but if they even have novice medic (which many who serioulsy PVP do) then you switch to eye shot...both of which are BH specials...and you enjoy a nice speed and accuray boost from BH...his point was we want to be that competitive without needing BH Pistols Line...so we can use Healthshot 2 and....and...hrm... well PMD1 too!

/laughs sinisterly(sp?) also

It would also be nice to see HealthShot2 nerfed (not the bleed, just the DPS), and BodyShot3 be raised to where it should be. I'm not complaining about HS2 at all, but aren't DOT attacks supposed to have a lower DPS, but give the added bonus of a Damage-Over-Time effect? According to my understand, BodyShot3 should have a higher DPS than HS2, so I'd prefer to see HS2 do the same thing as HS1 (except for heavier bleed, of course!) but reduce it's initial DPS so that spamming it is less effective than spamming BS3.

Yeah...all the specials just need to be given a once over and rebalance...this is what happens when a game system is implemented and then fixed in little pieces...the fixes break and make useless other things

Thats why the CURB is a good thing just completely revamp the whole thing and get it flowing again...

also...believe it or not...I think resources are a huge part too...I dont think they expected people to be able to just completely stockpile "best of" resources by the millions so now the theoretical maximum for every weapon is almost available to all servers...that has changed the balance of the game since game start also.

Guffaw for mini-reply

Hmm...

*wonders if tweaking to resources will be implemented in CURB*

When I had BH pistols I found that my DOTs and torso shot were more a way to drain mind than actually do damage. I would load em up on DOTs and fire and watch em kill thier own mind as I took it out with em with eye shot.

Many older players arent fooled into this tactic but you still get the occasional person who gets scared of a 100pt bleed and spends thier time healing it instead of fighting

Dont get me wrong I know how to stack em

It was just an example that some players get scared when they start seeing symbols out in front of the bars. They arent really sure how bad they are bleeding or on fire but feel that overwhelming urge that it HAS to be healed. All the while using mind to do it while i peck away at the blue bar using eyeshot.

Hehe... Ever imagine the psychological trauma that would ensue if the Devs made it so that a little Bleed icon appeared for EACH bleed you had sustained, and then colour-coded them based on whether they were Mind (blue), Action (green), or Health (red) bleeds? Hehe, five little red bleed markers, a blind icon, and then if you're using FullAutoSingle1, a Dizzy and a Stun.... Oh, the havoc! LOL

Seriously, though, I'd love to see the Devs implement colour-coded bleed icons, so you can tell whether you're suffering from a Mind, Action, or Health Bleed.

I agree. There is a laundry list of problems that need fixin before it happens though

PMD1 has always worked well. I remember when I used to PvP a lot outside of Anchorhead, I used to kite a lot of TKA's. Many times when they would get to close I'd get a PMD1 off and send them sprawling, giving myself some distance to kite them a bit more. lol

It is a shame that without eyeshot pistoleer isn't too great, but I don't care, I've been a master pistoleer for 11 months now and never going to drop it. Hands down the coolest profession in the game.
