This is what I am now and while I am having fun it does start to get old pretty fast. The thing that annoys me the most is my pistols are useless. I can drop an enraged rancor using my VK's in about 8-12 seconds. Try that withpistols. Sadly theonly use I have for my pistols is pulling and then the occasional low blow to knock down a fleeing mob. I am starting to look around for other PvE templates now too. I am thinking abouttrying Master Pistoleer/Commando 0044. This would give you some heavy hitters to play with as well as the LP which is really nice against turrets or AT's.

For a profession that was labelled as the "ultimate creature hunters" by the devs it makes me very sad that Ranger is not even mentioned in a PvE template. Don't mind me, i'm just a little disheartened that my two chosen professions (ranger and pistoleer) seem to be two of the least effective in the game. I guess I'm just a masocist

i'm personally going bh pistols 4, master pistoleer, ranger tracking 1 for PVE. i'll be able to kick arse and find arse more quickly

its a little known fact that the bonus to-hit vs. creatures only applies to autoattack. so for special-spamming pistoleers, it does no good.

Quick fixes to make the game fun now: ~~NPCs using weapons and special attacks~~, reduced resistances on all except faction armor and percentbased encumbrance, faction armor craftable with improved resistances with limited use schematics from recruiters, no permadeath for faction pets, doc buffs percentbased, ~~fixed BH mission payouts~~, more imperial crackdown activities, replace SBDs on the corvette with high ranking NPCs, reintroduce a Jedi TEF, reward overt players with improved payouts and faction gains

I am master gunfighter/ BH 0430. I have ranged kd and dizzy/stun and eyeshot, so i do pretty darn well in PvP. Still have trouble with rifleman/tka combo but everything else is cake.

stupid keyboard.... to continue....

In PvE i do pretty good against humanoid enemies including force sensitive npc's but against tough critter mobs i am outclassed by the tankier templates like tka doctor.
