Drop a box for every box you can learn in jedi , you will want to keep your LvL and health at its max it can be all the time

Also keep one elite combat profession as long as you can so you can switch to that to kill any BH's that come after you. I kept rifles all the way until i learnt master defender and healer 4. I was in trouble when i started to drop that but i used to cap xp before i trained any more so i could go up a tree at a time. I also practiced dueling with a sabre on guildees as much as possible while going up the sabre tree so i could learn how to deal with the threat without resorting to pulling a gun.

Hi
I just became a Padawan and am totally confused. Should I drop one of my 2 elite professions to lower my level or group and grind and slowly wean myself off each elite profession?

NO!

If you group-grind anyway, you dont need to be able to kill the critters on your own, so its pointless to lower your CL to a level where you can take on critters 1 on 1 with just Jedi skills.

Moreover, your max xp payout per critter is determined by your CL. If you are CL 60, you get around 900 Jedi xp (with inspiration buff) off of lvl 80 critters, while CL 80 players in your group get around 1.2k to 1.3k.
