And the DX2 is in fairly good supply too. Why? Its a novice cert pistol, easy enough to get. Same with the scatter pistol. If you put pistol certs further up the pistol lines you will begin to limit their availability. As far as the fresh server...any changes the Devs make will be weighed against a fresh server, if the Devs intend to continue launching them and they do.

My understanding is that it is only the Krayt enhanced FWG%'s that are going to be "fixed". If that is the case a weapon smith on Starsider makes them with out Krayt tissue at 206 max damage. Get a good damage slice, and a good powerup and you are golden. That is if the MOB you are fighting doesn't have a heat resist. Throw in any armor rating with a heat resist and you may as well throw the FWG5 at it, because you won't be doing much damage by shooting it.

By the way, the original poster claimed that the Pistoleer's have weak specials. Are you kidding me? Stopping shot will do over 2500 damage. Double Tap and Fan Shot can be spammed at the speed cap for decent damage and low HAM costs. If you think the Pistoleer special are weak head over to the BH forum. There, the Pistoleer specials are legendary, as apparently every Master BH across all servers gets Pwned by Stopping Shot.

I laugh at the claims of the FWG5 being overpowered. A master commando was hitting me for 1300+ damage with a flamethrower. I don't think they should lower the damage on the flamethrower though. Lowering the power of each profession's weaponsisn't the answer to balence.

You gotta admit that the FWG-5 actually is overpowered. True, the base model FWG-5's are fine, but the Krayt enhanced ones are a bit heavy on damage. Even with AP 0 and Heattypedamage. If the DX2 worked, the T-21 was un-nerfed, and Carbineer's HAM costs were normal, then the FWG-5 would fit in perfectly as is, but with the way weapons are right now, it needed to be taken down a little bit. Actually what they are doing is removing the Power Handler slot in the FWG-5 schematic. The power handler is the component that receives the krayt tissue as an enhancement. This not only takes away the ability of krayt enhancing the weapon, but also takes away up to 36 (give or take) damage, and adds on 0.36 (give or take). so if your weaponsmith was making 206 1.0 FWG-5's before, now he will only be making 170 1.4 guns.

you are a moron, you dont have any understanding how its neing build or whats being done to compenstae...from what i know that theyare fixing the advance projectile feed mechanism....which will compenstae for the loss of advance power handler. The damage will still be the same...just more Krayt tissue...the only proffesion that was only able to put 1 tissue in a gun to make it super uber...,is pistoleer.....try getting 11 identical tissue for T21........

Only moron pistoleer will cry about their speed.....

the most accurate shot in the game...with the lowest HAM cost.....get rid of all those 12 year olds posting in here, threatning to get there momies to cancel accounts.

Please, CH was WAY overpowered. They were and still are being fixed, not nerfed, plus CHwill still be a fully functional profession post-patch, but BHwill beall but destroyed. So refer to my other post and do your research because BH's get nerfed just as often as the CH's do, but through all this the CH is still remains a vital profession for PvE.

I vote NO.

Krayt FWG5 is way too powerfull and I trully hope the FIX (no nerf here) will go live. Meanwhile, I also trully hope speed will get fixed and the whole game balanced.

PS : on't flame or dunno what, I won't care at all. I explained many times why I think this fix is a good thing, I understand why some of you don't agree but they never realised this gun is one of the reasons most of our specials are that crap.

Yes, I would add MCH will be much more powerfull than before, so this "fix" is just a shame. MCH shouldn't be able to call something better than a GSP (which is VERY efficient), leaving lesser lvls unable to call anything overpowered.

Reason is simple : atm, a MCH can do stuff a full group have NO CHANCE to do, it is the definition of overpowerment.

I think SOE forgets one thing about this nerf, and all you non-pistol classes on this forum can go :::BLANK::: themselves.
