You sure you're fighting a Master Pistoleer and not an MBH / Master Pistoleer?


Swordsmen do more damage than pistoleers do.


However, you're already at a disadvantage if you don't fight inside of a building, 'cause you'll get kited and rooted.

im master TK and Master SM and by brother is Master BH and master pistols, no matter where we fight even if i get the KD first he will win, he outdamages me by double i dont think apistol should ever get a max damage above 600, thats not fair to riflemen and carbaneers or commando


it should be


pistols max 600 fast speed, ~250 dps


carbine max 750 fast speed, ~300 dps


rifles max 1000 slow speed, ~300 dps


heavy max 800 but with a 30% aoe within 5 meters, ~250 dps to main target and ~75 dps to others


pistols should be fine like this as they have kd and roots and other debuffs


not much of a change for carbines or rifles


heavy weapons need to be badly re-balanced as our aoe only does 1 damage always

Considering I've seen 1300 damage 1 handed swords being carried by fencers and hammers upwards of 1400 damage (pre CU perfect conversion) with others damage capped at 1184, I'm wondering just what the weaponry during this battle was. Of course you're going to lose if you're using a 120 sac 800 damage PH, and of course you're going to lose if he has a damage and sac capped krayt featherweight PUP'd and sliced. This sounds reminiscent of the BH "I'm too cheap to buy proper equipment so nerf the other guy" arguement.

Of course I could be entirely wrong about the weapons, but you didn't supply that information now, did you?

(Actually what would probably fix that meleer problem is tweeking the way defense stats reduce damage and makes people miss. A little bit of both should help.)


What would fix the pistol problem is making all ranged weapons equal in Range, Speed, Damage, and SAC. Give me a good reason why this should not be done.The current system does not add tactics, it just makes certian weapons better then others.

It does add tactics, its just that they aren't obvious. pistol ARE better than rifles in some situations, just not many. he thing is that when you use a pistol properly, they shine. I would never use a rifle as my BH killing weapon of choice. why? simple. I don't need the range, in fact on 90% of my hunts, the innate acc penalties of a rifle are unacceptable. Sac cost. I can max out weapons max damage and still have lower than a rifles min sac. lack of kinetic damage, the shock value of the first shots to a BH are invaluble, can't waste them punching througha PSG, rifleman have no level 54 kinetic weapons that aren't species specific. You know what the reall killer for me is? the speed encumberence, the difference between a rifle one and a pistol means the difference between winning or losing when kiting somone.

in games there are pup (powerup) that greatly increase damage of my guns


and at last please if you are thinking that mswod didn't deal damage than pistol or ther classes... didn't ask the nerf of other classes


live well and let live (logically in the game) well other classes and start to pray for swordsman revamp
