Rifleman own everyone bad, hate to break it to you. You could as others have suggested you our own stun weapon, however I would suggest not bothering, any stun protection decimates its already pathetic damage out put simply because its not armor piercing.

As far as rifleman themselves go, I see the realproblem with them being that they are 2 professions in one, without any kind of balance between these two combined professions. I mean there is something to be said for the argument that the are machine gunners in a SWG sense, and they are also to a certain degree snipers. The problem isnt that they are both these capabilities, its they have both these capabilities, with every gun. With their speed so high, it matters not what speed their rifles are, and with their accuracy it dosent matter if they are inches away, or miles away moving prone, or trying to keep their balancing in a pool of jello. The problem then comes in when you realise they are snipping while machine gunning. A major defenseive barrier rifleman use is the example of the retired(mostly although its still used on some support and transport helocopters, and surplus tanks we've sold to other nations) m6 machine gun, as being and fast. Both of which are true, both of which are reasnable arguments to use if your oging to be silly enough to use a real life example in a game, a game about laser guns and magic wielding samurai knights no less.

Obvisouly this defensive barrier is rediculus because no man on earth can snipe with an m60. Simiarly, no one is capable of weilding a rifle accuracly, while squeazing off a shot a second on semi auto while on the move. Hence the special forces use of the m-4 automatic carbine assualt rifle, a smaller lighter varbiable of the m-16, a highly accurate, but essentially unwielding assualt rifle. So thats the problem basically, we see rifleman running about with blunder busts hitting for 100% damage at 64m a second to armored opponents, and we see rifleman running about with sniper rifles and heavy machineguns at 5m and hitting accuratly every second.

I dont know how to fix the problem, I dont know if simply MAKING US WORK would fix it, I think that might go a long way to evening the playing field. I think maybe upping the speed on certain rifle, or maybe lowering the accuracy insanely on others might also do the trick. The thing is, rifleman, aside from the glaringly obtuse duel nature of the profession, it does work. And its not cool to nerf a working profession simply because we dont work at all. So the question is one of balance, how do you fix pistoleer and bring it up to par, without equally nerfing rifleman in some way?
