Geo pistol is good, but carry a nice DX2 or scatter pistol at all times. If you notice a lower than usual damage output with the geo overa few shots, they either have stun armour or a psg, maybe even both. If that happens switch to the acid pistol and you should notice and improvement. Stick to eyeshot as mind damage is still the way forward right now and keep your wits about you.

Intimidate your enemy to lower his damage output, lastditch has stun effect which also lowers damage output. If you can keep them from killing you, you'll do fine.

Pixie and Muon are good at a pinch, but be sure to keep them for the end. Dodge food is good to take before a fight and make sure you're tanked up on brandy too. Try not to make your mind look too weak.

Mind games are always good, try doing crazy things from time to time, it might work it might get you killed, but not trying it will get you killed anyway in certain situations. Rush melee types and pistolwhip them, if they go down stick a warcry on them and run off while shooting them. Also if attacked by a ranged guy, ie you're tef'd and he attacks you, kited him for the first 10 seconds or so if you can, if you get outside of 64m you can equip the right weapons and pop that food ready to take him out, then you rush back in and get right in his face, pistolwhip, warcry and spam him dead.

You've spent a lot of points getting Rogue in Smuggler, don't make it only for the cool title use everything you got along the way, intimidate, waycry, panicshot is great when it sticks because auto-attack is so awaful for PvP lowblow is another good move to keep a melee guy off your back while you get back to 30-40m.

Although the forums are a great source of information, little tips here and there like in this thread of fully written guides to effective PvP, you have to work on developing your own strategies also, take the tips from your fellow pistoleers, try them out see which work for your fighting style and forget the rest, adapt our techniques to yours and you'll have something that works uniquely for yourself, I find it's much more fun to PvP in your own style than someone elses.

Good luck out there
