Thread: Baz nitch are Aggressive now
They do heal their lairs more effectively.
The nests are harder to destroy, over 3x harder. 10k vs 3k.
Solo killing BNs for xp was never an exploit. You'll get the same out of them as just about any other high level non-social, soft melee mob.
It was the newbs who haven't even hit an elite profession running lairs. We're talking people who don't have Pistol Specialist taking out BN lairs. I know someone who started SWG yesterdayand within 2 hours he was running BN lairs.
Yea, I xped here for about 3 days before they adjusted the Baz Layers. I woke up today and had about 350k xp to go to become a Master Gunfighter, so I ran north east trying to find a layer(I don't even grab missions, I just want to xp!) and boom they are all red.
No big deal, I just packed up and went to lok to finish my last box of xp on Nyms Elite Guards and Oliphants. I mad Master Gunfighter right before the server went down at about 3am PST.

Well ... that's exactly how I do it .. cept I don't run out of action. You don't have to spam knockdown to do it. You only have to knock one down once every 10 seconds or so to keep them from ripping you apart.
I've only fought giant Baz's, so I don't know if more or less of the other type come at a time. Usuall, I get 3 or 4 ... I've never had 5 come at a time, even when there are more sitting around.
I've macroed all my bleeds on to one hotkey (healthshot 1 and 2, bleeding shot, and torso shot), so that's what I use to pull with. When I see the ham bars of the adders pop up, I hit each one of them with the dot package. As they close, they each get a pistol whip. Once all of them are down, I heal myself with a good stim-b (novice medic, med use 5, 393 base), that bumps my action back up to full.
After that, it's just a matter of cylcing targets and making sure each gets knocked down once in a while. I usually have to re-apply the fire dot (only applies if you have bh pistol IV), but that's it.
I can see how it would be hard if you didn't have novice medic, but other than that ... should be no problem if you have pistol whip. I'll also point out that I'm a Zabrak, so mind is never a problem .. if it ever gets low (which is very rare), I'll use equilibrium after I've healed myself full to bump my mind back up to safe levels.
They didn't just nerf missions for baz nitches, they nerfed missions on naboo too.
Ya, if you have medic (doctor skill for me, I just use my crappy 250 base stimpack D's) and I just use knockdown.
Scout blaster only takes 25 HAM per, and if i do get low, i just heal back up
Erm ... I noticed something new today when I tried them again. Periodicially, in the middle of a fight, 3 or 4 more Baz's will pop on top of me ... well, away from the lair.
I'm hoping it's just lag; I can handle 3 or 4 at a time, but not 8 ... especially when the last 4 pop out of thin air and all get their hits in before I can whip them.
Anyone else notice this happening? It didn't happen right after the fix. Feel like I'm being punished by the devs for hunting on Dathomir!

You need a top of the line sliced weapon and a very high damage special attack in order to run and gun these lairs for credits now.
Sometimes, I'll destroy the lair before it gets healed. But, usually I'll get it down to about 20% and then suddenly the healing starts and it's back to 100% in seconds.
So, for the vast majority of people who were making millions off these mission, it's no longer possible. I haven't tried running these missions for money with a friend yet, but considering I can get 5k missions out of Naboo, the risk/time/reward means that doing baz runs is no longer worthwhile.
What was the problem with Baz Nitches? That they were too easy to kill? They're SUPPOSED to be the easiest thing on the planet. Look at the difficulty level in the missions - the whole planet of Danthomir is difficulty level 65, except for Baz Nitches that are level 60.
The problem is that their missions payout twice as much as anything else - 10k instead of 3k - 6k. The missions that the terminal will directly tell you are the easiest on the planet, had the best payout...
THAT was the imbalance in the equation. I think this was a case of Sony doesn't know anything about how their game is played. They looked at some automatically generated table from their databased game statistics and said "Folks are getting too much exp from Baz Nitches. Nerf 'em." without knowing what was really going on.
