Thread: A Case for DX2's
Oh yeah, FWG5=200+ on the high end dmg.
DX2=115-135 (nonsliced/sliced)
There are aspects of the DX2 that can be useful, but the gun still needs to be debugged, and then possibly tweaked by the dev's. it needs help.

Im on Starsider so i havent got the chance for DX2s yet, or, even worst, republic pistols![]()
But so far this is how i use my guns:
For low heat resistant armor, or just tough mobs, ill use my 61-175 1.4(speed sliced) 11-30-17 FWG5
For low energy-resistant armor, or just soft mobs i like to kill on my way to to other places
il use my 81-135 1.7 Scout Blaster, need to slice it yet though
Im really looking forward to the devs adding DX2s and especially Republic at Starsider, since right now, im using marksman pistols, and thats not right for a pistoleer
I think at master pistoleer we should get certification for all pistols, like the launcher and scatter, since a master pistoleer should be able to use all pistols, cause thats what he is, a master pistoleer ![]()
Honestly fighting against armored opponents, mobs specifically, I find the DX2 to be far better than any scout and superior to most FWG5s available to me on Flurry. Speed not withstanding, and unfortunetly the largish HAM cost to the gun make it ill suited to PvP at this time, but if it ever drops below 2.0, it will be my constant companion.

The reasons DX2's suck is not because of their design it is because of the lack of decent iron. Iron is about 50% of the DX2's stats and when the best iron that has spawned has like 400 OQ and 3 Conductivity, you aren't going to get a very good gun. So if a decent iron ever spawns look forward to a really nice gun.
uh DX2's don't take iron they take platinite copper and titanium aluminum.
there are 3 pistols i use and the rest are useless. the scout for low HAM nice damage(72-174 1.6 or something), my FWG5 (rarely 50-200 2.0 or something and im positive it pierces armor), and a DX2(90-140ish 2.3 also pierces armor im sure)
each one i use depending on the scenario resists ap whatever. also I have found DX2 eats through armor durability like mad
I am a Novice Pistoleer on Bloodfin and I do not have all the speed bonuses that the higher level guys do. I have a FWG5 64-180dmg 1.4spd 14.xx wound chance, I also have a DX2 with 90-130dmg 3.0spd and 21.xx of wound chance. Now my big problem with the DX2 is that the thing is too slow without the speed bonuses and if I use specials (ie: HS1, HS2, BS2 which is my normal sequence at the start of a fight) my action pool is gone and I am usually incapped before I can get 2 more shots off and the damage a normal shot does is comparible with my FWG5. Now with my FWG5 I can do the previously mentioned combo and have plenty of action pool left to do a few more BS2 if needed but it usually isn't due to the fact that my normal shot will do as much damage as a BS2 without the time penalty. If I get incapped using my FWG5 it is usually because I got gang raped and didnt see it till it was too late. Until I get the speed bonuses that come with the pistoleer line I will be sticking with my FWG5 and maybe still after that.
I do not do PVP and I have yet to go to a hunting planet such as dathomir for baz nitches, I plan on going to lok as soon as I get my master marksman. I will be doing the BH pistol and carbineer line because I want the best of both worlds..
