I very rarely buff, I just don't fight above my level. But considering I'm a smuggler and can FD if trouble strikes, I don't fear to awful much.

What i was trying to get at was that you cant be buffed all the time. When you die during a raid or one of those famed clone wars, most professions stand little chance of surviving(dueto ham costs)compared to a pistoleer. Obed I know what you mean, I even get buffed when i go shopping.. yeah it is that sad.

Oh, there's the ticket. On Kettemoor, no one even ties their shoes without being buffed these days.

I don't ever bother with buffs unless they're cheap/free. I've been on Yavin4 fighting giant mawgax's cl30 creatures with 70% ubese and some crappy +209 brandy and doing just fine. If I get really really stuck, I take some shadowpaw (+250 action +250 quickness spice), to spam some more specials.

I'm not sure about other servers, but on Gorath some of the best pvp'ers are pistoleers.

I'm beginning to think that Doctors are the richest people on the server. I'm actually surprised now when I see someone unbuffed on Kettemoor.

Well, I'm the laziest grinder ever. Because I was doing it so stupidly, it took me about 2 months or so to grind out smuggler back in the day. So, when I decided to do pistoleer, I was whiney an just refused to ever do it. Once I finally officially started grinding for it, I did it in less than a week.Since I finished it last night, I won't be grinding for a LONG time. Especially if we get some lovin' when the combat rebalance comes out. A few days of making SWG a full-time job followed by many months of enjoying myself. That's what I'm all about.

For times like that I keep some brandy and nuetron pixie in my back pocket!

the thing that gets me about buffs is you are obligated to grind missions to earn the buff price, travel price etc....its not fun. When I run missions I do the missions, stop look at vendors, if I see another creature nest I'd like to whack I'll go tap it. In general I try to enjoy myself. With buffs its like I have to optomized my "buffed" time and it takes on that work feeling.

I agree, it does feel like work to grind missions. I usually recommend grinding by going to Endor (or wherever) and clearing out the various caves. Great XP and a chance at some really good loot. And the best part: It doesn't feel like work! That's why I love the Jinda Cave on Endor.
