have you tried Kammi's or Zeto's place of Lowca? Kammi has some scouts that are 1.7 speed and the damage is decent.........Zetos aren't that bad either, the lowest I've seen from him are 1.9 i think........

I don't know any master smugglers, but I heard that their slices are incredible...........the person who sliced my Vibro axe in Bestine really did an awsome job and the con wasn't effected in the least..........

I am on Sunrunner, our smiths are a tad behind, I have a 59-116 / 1.6 Scout Blaster this is the best weapon I've been able to find.

Rankaze, btw, the damage per second is significantly better on the gun I listen than yours. I have had this gun for over a week. I am on Sunrunner.

Personally I hate the FWG5s they are way to slow, and the minimum damage is too low, and they don't work on some creatures AT ALL.

I bought mine at Kammi's (shes not cheap, so have at least 20K, but its worth it)

I am using an FWG5 with the following stats...

55-240 dmg 2.0 delay 11/36/17 specials

The base damage of this weapon was 40-178, I went through 4 of them before I managed to get the slice I wanted Cost me 100,000 credits to finally get one with these stats, but hey I dont mind spending lots of money on a good quality blaster

Guys, throw your scout blasters away, the FWG5 is waaaay better. Even with inferior stats it does more damage due to being AR2. Scout Blasters I believe are only AR0, so an FWG5 with equal stats does 156% more damage. The figures you guys are listing are not 156% better in terms of DPS compared to the FWG5.

Also the FWG5 does heat damage which bypasses many armor types, whereas almost anything will resist straight-up energy from the Scout.

I thought only the SRCOMBAT pistol had an AR rating and it was AR1. The rest were AR0, including an FWG5.

FWG5 is AP 0 as far as I know. It's what the Prima guide says, and I haven't noticed enough of a damage upgrade when I went from my scout (which was 46-108 2.4, btw) to my fwg5 for it to be AP. It is, however, heat damage, which means if armor is vulnerable to heat, the FWG5 will ignore the armor.

Who made that Scout, Ember syc? I've not been able to find anyone who can make them that fast on Sunrunner.

The best all around pistol is the FWG5 (at least for me!). Its damages are heat based so no armor penetration is not that relevant and I have found models which once sliced masterfully could go as low as 1.3 speed.

Using a non-sliced FWG5 here myself. 41-155 2.0 speed. Need to get it sliced (been meaning to, just haven't had time)... then I should end up with a pretty brutal weapon.
