It's true that he was on the Jedi Council, and he may have been just an "extra". But here's the tricky part:

The main characters in the movies were supposed to be paragons of their professions. For example, Jango was most likely a Master Bounty Hunter, but he's also most likely to be 10 times the bounty hunter than your run-of-the-mill MBH(i.e. all the MBH's in this game). But the same thing goes for Jedi. In the movies, Mace was untouchable(I know he dies eventually, but stay with me on this), but he's 10 time the Jedi than all the other Jedi in this game. So lets be real about this. Jedi (in this game) aren't invincible, and BH (in this game) aren't the unstoppable killing machines they were portrayed in the movies. It's the same reason that, in movies, the good guys always win and nobody ever has to reload their guns.

I mean, look at smugglers. In the movies, they could smuggle. But not in this game

probably because he didnt align himself with the same faction as his opponent and then feign death. or maybe because hes more worried about mr. scaramanga and the man with the red saber then to pay attention to a ranged proffesion. and yeah windu blocked like 3 shots while staring right at the guy then backhanded his friggen head off. then made love to some classy white ladies and said "do bounty hunters speak english in what"?
