believe me stopping shot isn't all that great, it is too short of a root and takes too long to recharge.

By moving stopping shot to the master box you may be stopping dabblers from having one of our best skills, but you're also leaving most people trying to grind master pistoleer with nothing of immense use. I find myself using stopping shot far more often than any of my other abilities*.

*except the timer is so damn long that this isn't true. Shutup.

Now smugglers don't have a root. Concussion shot was turned into a daze. I think we're the only class left with a root. IMO the stopping shot should be left as it is except if your a master pistoleer, the root should be just as long with about 1/4 less recharge time. This would avoid chain rooting and ppl crying nerf.

I was fighting blackscales last night and I was hit with overwhelming shot. This caused a root and a disarm on me. It didn't seem to break on damage either.

Overwhelming shot lowers your def against stat changes, perhaps you just got hit with root and disarm as well, some NPCs have used disarm on me as well.

SoE is about money. People dont want to spend money on balance, they want to win.

So maybe moving stopping shot to the master box it not the best solution.

How bout restricting it to pistol use?
Can still be used when other weapons but have an added penalty (ie: longer cool down, daze,stun,dizzy...whatever seems appropriate).
Then you can probably apply this to all pistol specials.....

Yes this is my attempt at hijacking a thread but it may be a solution to limit dabblers.....

I liked specials being specific to a given weapon type. The open availablity of specials to all weapon types is nice but I could give it up if it would bring back some balance. But I'm an MBH. Switching weapon types during battle is my thing.

I can use any special that goes with pistol, carbine and rifle provided I worked my template to do so. How do you limit dabbling then?
