I personally am upset about not being able to exceed cap with slicing. Its not like it is that much 8% damage... I wouldnt have minded if they had even allowed a SAC slice to cap, but they ditched that too. So my only option is spd, but modified, I am alreayd capped at speed. So all the anticipation for slicing was for nothing. It grants me nothing. I suppose I can have it sliced for crit chance, but that 3% is something I suppose. Guess I should bite my tonue before they bring back AP. I guess slicing is mainly an option for newer players who haven't invested in the best of everything yet.

How disappointing.

publish 19 slicing is horrible after making myself a nice capped gun i have a small amoutn of speed i could slcie to cap but why do i need it? i already got a modified speed of .96

Been a pistoleer since about a week after launch... I am a good friend of disappointment, he lives on 5th street, nice house but nosey neighbors.... go figure.

This is what mean by "speedcapped", you basically fire as fast as the cooldown on specials will allow, although those timers are modified by speed, it looks to me that you cant get bodyshot down under2 a second cooldown.

also, what is the point of high-end krayt tissues anymore? if we hit speed and dmg cap without slices, then a person who uses 100 tissues could just slcie and match ours, sure, ours is unsliced but theres no difference anymore!

because if your pistol is capped, you can put a 10% critical chance on your pistol with slicing.

I tend to disagree, I think pistoleer can be better than rifles or carbines for this reason...SAC.


My FWG5 is 67 SAC, and when I get it sliced, capped damage. Not to mention the speed of pistols is way better than rifles.

You tell em! Pistols are very powerful once you complete the "End Game" to assemble the ultimate weapons.

It's made my pistol dreams come true as it goes, I can now have SAC and Damage capped energy and kinetic pistols and fire them at speedcap.

There isn't really aspeedcap as such, the thing to look at is how fast the recovery timers are on your specials. Quickdraw will be under a second and Bodyshot about a second and a half.


I'd like to know if anyone with loads of speed mods can get the recovery timer on bodyshot down under 1 second.


So what I mean by speedcap is that you cant fire specials any faster than that, as the recovery timers seem to work in seconds rather than fractions of seconds, so you cant fire any quicker as you cant shave enough time off the timer to get the recovery time under another second.

I've noticed that when hopped up on Doc buffs and Luris Pie, I still can't fire specials beyond a certain speed. They are "ready" to fire much, much faster, but they "go off" after activation at a capped rate. This leads me to believe that there is a hard cap on speed at a certain point, but I don't know for certain. It could be lag related, or I could just be imagining things. I do know for a fact, however, that speed literally stops working past a certain point.

That's pretty much what I expect to see. I think there may well be caps on the recovery timers.
