Thread: Can i have some accuracy please?
I'm aware of the reasonings and logic behind REAL LIFE weaponry.
These are blaster weapons we're talking about... and the system created for a GAME... in which we have 35m range... and ... that's it.
Bah, you people make me sick, lol. I have 150 accuracy, with crispic. Unfortunately, the most skillpoint-intensive prof in the game has no combat mods other than +10 to ranged and melee defense.

Why would a rifle be any less accurate up close?
Same reason most freakin' blaster pistols can't shoot past 35m.![]()
I like the old system where techincaly you could shoot at rifleman ranges, but you probably aren' going to hit anything.
ps there is a reason why the standard infantry arm is a rifle that is accurate up to 550m away, and nota .45 pistol

and I have no problem killing a lot of jedi with a pistol, so I am happy![]()
*You are engaged in combat with a Jedi*
Getting back on to the rifle thing, the more i think of it, the more i get pissed. I'm much more accurate with a rifle from ideal range, or even with cyberarms at 82m, yet i have only one elite tree dedicated to the weapon. Yet with a pistol at 30m im much less accurate, but i have and elite tree plus and entire elite profession dedicated to specializing in pistols. How in the world does this make sense? I should be ok with a rifle. I should be ok with a carb. But i should be deadly accurate with my pistol, having chosen MBH/MPistoleer.
And what; to flog ahorse, that if not dead is at this point in mortal danger expiring, sense does this make?Is this not the exact same type of problems they had pre-CU? Pistols being the lowliest of ranged, rifles being the best? (not that carbineers had any loving really) Do the developers look for ways to screw things up the exact same way? Hmmmmm, this one hits harder, is more accurate and can be shot from a farther distance, whereas this one hits for less, is much less accurate, and has half the range. Which would you pick? When i spell it out like that, i cringe at the fact im so stubborn and idiotic to stick with pistols. But thats me.
If no one else minds i think i'll just continue to rant every so often. It gives me some sort of satisfaction even if i accomplish nothing at all.
I'm MBH/Mpistoleer I have195 accuracy. I use the +5 arm and I get another +10 from a PSG. I use food to get +40 for a total of 250. With this I hit as much as a rifleman and a carbineer. I use a Master Defender / 4004 (or 0404 or 0044) Lightsaber Jedi (sometimes MLS) to test. I seem to hit just as much with pistols as I do with rifles. I had +700 accuracy with a rifle (skill mods and +200 food with aim) and I still missed as much as my pistoleer and rifleman with just 250 accuracy.

I've killed a couple.... but in most cases it's like:
*You are engaged in combat with a Jedi*
*A second Jedi engages you in combat*
*You are engaged with 2 Jedi*
*Heal, heal heal, gawd dammit heal*
*A third Jedi engages you in combat*
*You are engaged with 3 Jedi*
*You are f--ked*
that's why I love BH, I can force a 1 vs 1 fight, and there is nothing the jedi can do about it except run or fight, and most jedi have no clue how to 1 vs 1 fight, all they know how to do is kill feral wooks, or starport camp with 7 other jedi.
