The most worrisome part of this to me is that the Dev responsible for Combat, who has spent months learning about the problems in these systems, won't be part of the fixes. So we have to educate some NEW dev from the ground up on one of the fundamental game systems that has been broken since Day One?

None - but there's a yellow name. On page 19 I believe, saying that it was forwarded to the devs. Consider the "dev response" to be the massive boost in accuracy that riflemen got. Or the fix to mob warping. Or the 2.5x multiplier that is about to dissapear. Those were the chief complaints, and they are gone. Now that thread is only random complaining about how there was no dev response, and when will they get around to fixing the class, and how clearly riflemen are hated. It's a total crock. They've gotten more love than anybody, save commando.

Responses sounds like a "Yeah, we hear you. We are working on it. Now can we get back to work".


Until then, I'm just biding my time until a "releasable" version of SWG gets published to live.

There is almost no real information in any of these top 5 responses, in this profession and in most others. The all say about the same thing:

OMFG the dev team for combat has been moved to Space Expansion. Does anything ever get fixed in this game or are you GD devs just going to keep adding more and more bugs . Have you ever heard of finishing one job before you start another?

I love how the OFFICIAL Developer Response is only one post. I would love for the combat rebalancing to actually work, but the Space expansion will come out soon so new problems will arise. With the NEW combat system, specials will effect us differently, and there will be more guns (well different versions of the same guns we have now, so I can go out and buy more guns). So in February, towards the end, we might see some changes and two days after that another patch will come out to rebalance the prior patch. It never changes, the CH which was existed since beta just recently got "fixed/rebalanced" and is less powerful. SO maybe Fanshot will become the more powerful Double Tap and MTPS will become Fanshot, this is the way they are described in the game. Personally, make Stopping Shot do something, add Dizzy or Stun at least. We are the most complained about class (because we stack) and have no anomaly attacks.

This is excellent news and in dev time all the fixes are coming in a relatively short time span. Let's keep our fingers crossed that time line of the fixes detailed in this responsedoesn't slip. Thanks for sticking with this Phil. Nice work.
