I cant seem to get it to work for me.


and im not trying to knock down hard stuff here. -- where talking the ST's in kadara that con green

anyone ever play diablo II? (yah, i know.... but hear me out)
there was a special attack for paladins where they would beat someone with their shield instead of their weapon, and all shields had a mod on it for how much damage it would do with that specific attack.
though it would be very difficult to code and impliment, pistols should have had a similar principle implimented from the beginning with a kinetic damage type for most of them as well.
rifles should get something similar when they get their melee-range attack.

Those guys only con green so that they give next to no faction/experience, but they are really much higher level. In MMORPGs it's called an "undercon." Devs do it when they want an NPC to be attackable, but don't want anyone to bother to kill it. The mobs are uber, but it tricks the system into thinking they con green so you don't get much reward.


It's also very, very annoying.


Especially when the undercons are hostile.


Usually in EQ we would get much higher level, come back, and camp those @$%!* spawns out of spite.


At least I would.

PMD1 gets blocked by saberblock. That's my only complaint about it.

Works just fine on the things I've tried, standard missions on Corellia and Dantoine. Oddly tho, it's rare to get more than one KD, usually the first or second attempt works, after this it's not unlikely it takes 10+ attempts. I guess that's a sort of balancing thing, wouldn't be fair just to keep them knocked down.

Ive have never had a problem with Pistol melee Def 1 , but 2 has been broken since the game was released as far as I know.

Knockdowns and posture changes are only supposed to work on the same target once every 30 seconds. They are onseperate timers though, so you can knockdown, then when it gets up, Supression Fire to make it kneel.

pistol melee 2 is broken..not melee1 melee2 just hurts the npc but doent kd so im still using pistolmelee1 and i was gutted to find out 2 didnt work....

to get successful kd's use pistolmelee1

1) when the npc isnt attacking ie get the first hit off.

2) if u have multiple npc attacking u if u r attacking one and then suddenly attack another with pistolmelee 1 it will work.

3) if npc r aggroin someone else and u pistolmelee1 from behind it will work.

4) if u pistolmelee1 and get a kd and press it again the npc will warp straight back up so dont constantly spamm it.

5) sometimes can get a random chance of kd during mid battle id say about 15% chance.

Works for me, I was knocking down things on endor left and right last night, the majority went down on the first whip.

For the MBH/Pistoleers, having this work as a melee attack to get through Saberblock would be huge.



It's a melee attack, it should operate as one.



But then, having working specials (like Pistol Melee Defense2) is probably more imprtant than re-coding, and possibly breaking, one of the few that do work.
