It's funny you mentioned that template. I was just thinking I might go that route. From the things I have heard about the CU/RB though I am guessing that would be a bad long term template.

The upcoming smuggler FD change made me rethink taking the DF line. Instead of black barring you they'll be able to triple incap you once that change goes live.

I think I will go with that template though at least until the CU/RB. After that I can always lose the fencer and take some medic.

Most people don't know the potential behind this. Being able to heal is battle is by far better than having BH 0040 and Novice Commando. You can always temporarily take up Novice Commando for base takedowns.





I've hadclose to 1800PvP rating thanks to this template. Fencers are the most surprised. Once they are intim+stun thier defences drop and they are extremely easy to hit even with COB. Also, kipup shot stands you up if you're dizzy and been forced kneeled.

i dont know .. feels wrong for me to have medic when im not a medic at all .... it feels like a crutch to me and today i dropped it for the first time since i started my toon in october of 2003 .... i am no longer a medic <tear> <cheer>

Medic is important, extremely important, especially for those who like to solo.

Once you get medic its hard to go without it.


But I been out of game for a long time so giving up medic was easy for me! lol...

I had MP and BH pistol and was going to throw the rest into fencer, was at 0230, but then decided I rather go with DF4 seeing how the CURB is going to get rid of defense stacking. So I dropped all the fencer and got DF4. The hardest part was getting through unarmed.

trick w/ unarmed brawler is to get a speed sliced VK ..like 1.2-1.7 speed ... you take off a bit less but you attack at like 1 sec per instead of 3 or 4 in the beginning ... REALLY helps out

BH0040 (Speed cap and nasty specials)

Master Pistoleer (Bit of def,def v, dodge, accuracy while moving)

Medic0040 (Med use 40 stims for big heals)

Novice Brawler (Intimidate and Warcry for weapon changes, heals and damage reduction)

Intim/Warcry,Melee/Stundef,Injurytreatmentbioclothing

Nice set of pistols


Maybe not best template but a lot of fun. Once people know you don't have medic you tend to get worn down, though food, spices and equilibrium can help a lot. Never really used FD in pvp unless I knew help was on the way.

Ya... I did the grind 3x before and everytime I go through unarmed I think: Never again. Yet for some reason I always end up going through it again.

I got a 1.6 speed VK for the grind.


But really, unarmed isn't that bad. Just go berserk and attack junk. But that 1-3 for all begining professians is always hard for me because they are annoying. You're not skilled enough to go do quenkers on Dant or to really take any missions so you're stuck running around static citys killing whatever you find for an hour or 2 until you finally reach the 3rd box and can go to Dant for that last one.

Even marksman is irrating for me until those 4th tier boxes.

Do BH pistol 4, dirty fighting (smuggler) 4 and master pistoleer. Get a fairly good DE-10. you have a few sp left, so I would suggest picking up either commando for the launcher pistol, or BH carbine for the KD/dizzy.

Alright here is my template as of today;

Master Pistoleer
Bounty Hunter Pistols 4
Fencer Techniques 2
Novice medic

This gives me the defensive stats;

Defense vs Blind +50
Defense vs Dizzy +50
Defense vs Intimidate +10
Defense vs Knockdown +50
Defense vs Posture Change +20
Defense vs Stun +40
Dodge +150
Melee Defense +62
Ranged Defense +37

Eventually I will be dropping medic for more fencer defenses I think.

My temp is... Master Smuggler, Master pistoleer, 4/0/0/4 TKA, Novice Medic, FS Melee D and Range D line.


I'm about caped on Melee D. have like 72 Ranged D, Ranged Mitigation 3, Melee Mitigation 1, +105 Dodge, And i can't remember the other D vs. status's but it hink the only one i'm really weak against is intimidate.


I also ahve a bunch of CA's and stuff so i'm well over melee Capped and have a bit higher Ranged D. Just finished this template up and havn't had a chance to PvP with it so yea. we'll see.

I have Master Pistols, Master Smuggler, TKA 0004, Fencer 1010, Force Ranged Def 1 as well as novice medic.
My dodge is capped out along with my melee def and my ranged def is 90 something. This used up all my skill points.
